On a ship, a code oscar means someone has gone overboard. If the ship has to maneuver erratically to handle the situation, it must also send out blasts on the signal so that other ships nearby are aware of the fact that it is about to change its course. It should be noted that ships don’t have an internationally standardized set of PA signals and they can differ from place to place, but this is a fairly commonly used one. Can mean that there is a biological hazard – though who knows what that might be on a passenger ship. Often means “medical emergency”. Was invented by Walmart but it is now an internationally recognized alert. It means “missing child”. The code was first coined in 1994 in memory of Adam Walsh, a six-year old, who went missing in a Sears department store in Florida in 1981. Adam was later found murdered. The person making the announcement will state “we have a code Adam,” followed by a description of the missing child. As soon as the alert is heard, security staff will begin to monitor the doors and other exits. If the child is not found within 10 minutes, the police are alerted and a store search begins. Also, if the child is found in the first 10 minutes in the company of an unknown adult, the police must be called and the person detained if it is safe to do so.

Mortality --It’s been suggested that the foundation of a mature mind is the ability to hold two contradictory ideas in your mind at the same time, and believe both of them. This is the Very Definition of A Taboo. There is the one thing that is completely Wrong, and beside it, A Thing that is it’s equivalent, that is completely Alright, While The Opposites of These Two Things, May or May Not be Right or Wrong, With No Rhyme or Reason that will provide the examiner with any hints as to what they may be. But this is not Maturity. It is Craziness. A Contained & Well Regulated Insanity is The Hall Mark of Civilization. Western Civilization, or Any Civilization, Can not Exist without Rules, And because the human mind is incapable of reason or logic, All Rules are Utterly Fickle & Capricious, Yet they must be adhered to for Consistency and Uniformity of A Legal System that must be viewed and considered Fair & Impartial. -It just occurred to me that there is a class of behaviours that are the anti-thesis of Taboos; Which might be characterized as =Expected Behaviours= Which are used to Control Social Mores, The Status Quo, Power & Political Hierarchies, Sexual Roles, Economic Tiers, Fashion Designators ( Class Uniforms ), Religious Boundaries, Neighborhood Territories, Occupational Segregation, Racial Apportionment & Cultural Acquiescence to The Identity of The Current BoogeyMan. --Another Aspect of Taboos that just occurred to me is The Taboos Regarding Human Motivation. Why are we Good? Why do Some People Act Altruistically? Anthropologists love to try and figure out why people behave the way they do. Why is a particular behaviour sufficiently advantageous to have survived the trial by fire of evolution? And it generally comes down to essential drives; Sex & Food. When a fireman rescues a woman from a burning car; He is motivated by the desire to have sex with her, Or if she’s ugly or it’s a man; The fireman is hoping that some attractive woman that is watching him save someone that they know, will be willing ( merely ) to have sex with him. -There is another theory that relatives choose to help relatives at a proportional amount to how closely their DNA matches. That is; You are much more likely to risk your own safety for a brother or sister than a cousin, and a cousin than a stranger.

But — If you’re a stranger in a community with no close relatives, You may scheme to appear to save someone(s that are not remotely related to you, and otherwise serve the community, so that you become valuable to the community, So that when you need assistance, These Strangers, which would ordinarily, have no motivation to help you, or risk their own safety for you, find that your insured safety is in their own best interests, and the interests of their relatives. -Basically; All Acts, even ones that seem purely Altruistic, are always Selfishly Egotistical. Truly Enlightened Awareness of this is not going to change your behaviour to serve the community of non-related strangers, but the fear is that weak, undeveloped minds, may understand this only to the level of being Selfishly Egotistical on The First Superficial Coating of Self Interest, and then go on to believe that this is their predestined, evolutionarily determined behaviour. -It has also occurred to me that when many people see a woman’s naked breasts and or plump thighs, exposed under a dress too high, And declare it gross or obscene, They don’t really experience deep emotional feelings consistent with other observed phenomena that would yield these feelings of genuine repulsion, but are verbalizing their emotional states with a vocabulary that does not allow them express themselves accurately. And since this verbal expression is the only hint that others have to what they are feeling, it becomes embedded within the culture’s gestalt that these inaccurately expressed emotions are their real emotions. Obviously; Everyone is Enculturated to experience repulsion for various things, but even so; There is considerable confusion with regard to stimulus that is forbidden & alluring and forbidden & repulsive. Do most people have the sentient capability of making a distinction between these two? ---

Here in America you can be stopped for any contrived traffic violation or -Safety Check- and if you don't have a Drivers License or State ID, you will be Arrested or -Detained- for however long the authorities choose to keep you. • • • •
