Dear Members ofSt. Lawrence Parish. Our provi ncial, Fr. Jeff, Fr. Michael, aU the Franciscans and I aTe immensely grateful for the wonderful memorials you conducted for our brother, Fr. ROl,;k Travnikar. It was ....cry obvious to Fr. Michael and me that yo u folks rcuny loved Fr. Rock and he loved you in return. You were a vital part of his life. I wish his who le family could 've experienced the warmth, support and love that was mutual for you and Fr. Rock. [was especially moved by how the yOWlS people expressed thei r sadness and responded to Fr. Rock. He had a special way with kids. He spoke their language and engaged them in a realistic and crealive manner. Thank you so much for the care, support and love that you showed Fr. Rock along the way. Your memorials were a wonderful and fitting tribute fo r a man who invested himself so beavily in his ministry in Tampa. I wish we had another Fr. Rock to take his place, but we'll have to rely on you to send US a young Franciscan who can imitate his love. Again, thank you fo r supporting him and fo r being such a vi LaI pan of Fr. Rock's life.
