Restoring Presence and Aliveness in the Classroom

A One-Day Retreat

Are the increasing pressures and demands of our testing-obsessed education system inhibiting your creative essence as a teacher? Do you question your effectiveness in the classroom? Do you find yourself “going through the motions” without a feeling of connection to yourself or your students?

Come together with fellow teachers in a supportive community for a day of nourishing inner stillness and reflective practices. In this one-day workshop I will teach you some simple tools designed to help you reconnect to yourself and reclaim your heart and passion for teaching. We will explore practices such as meditation and mindfulness, breath awareness, and movement. We will also learn how to create a process of safe, shared exploration where we can nurture personal and professional integrity and the courage to act on it.

"I gained just what I sought nourishment for a teacher's soul . . . inspiration to keep doing what I love with strategies to live in the moment. Thank you!" ~ Virginia Hall, Durham, NC "I came to seek techniques to help me help my students. I left filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of self. I recommend this workshop to anyone and everyone." ~ Participant, Asheville, NC
