About IBS, Hyderabad The ICFAI Business School (IBS) Hyderabad is a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education (IFHE), a Deemed to be University as per the UGC Act 1956. IFHE has been awarded the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rating of A. The institute offers high-quality programs in different areas of management to a wide cross-section of students, executives and professionals. The mission of the institute is to offer high quality management programs that equip students with the right knowledge, skills and attitudes required to succeed in a dynamical world. The School has been re-accredited by SAQS (South Asian Quality Standards) till 2018, rated A** by CRISIL, EB2 IN by ICRA and as an “Excellent” Business School by Eduniversal.

About IGIDR, Mumbai Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institute established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. Subsequently, the Institute was recognized as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Since then it has been awarded the highest National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) rating of A++ (under the old methodology) given to Indian academic institutions. Starting as a purely research institution, it rapidly developed into a full-fledged teaching cum research organization when it launched a Ph.D. program in the field of development studies in 1990.

About the Conference The Doctoral Thesis Conferences (DTC) organized by IBS Hyderabad has received wide recognition from the researchers across various universities and institutions of repute in India and overseas since its inception in 2007. The enthusiastic and positive responses of the participants in the previous Doctoral Thesis Conferences inspire us to continue this effort.

Objectives of the Conference The Doctoral Thesis conference is expected: § To provide a platform for sharing the research ideas on an international level. § To provide a platform to meet domain experts to discuss research ideas, methodologies and career issues § To provide a platform for scholars to make informal networks with their peers from other institutions.

Call for Papers We invite submission for the following two tracks. Track 1: Research Design presentation - Papers are invited from those scholars who are in their initial stages of PhD. Research scholars, who have completed their course work and have made progress in research proposal are expected to participate. Participants in this track are not expected to present any estimation results and are requested to follow the following structure for paper submission: Introduction, Extensive literature review, Research gaps, Objectives, Proposed Hypothesis, Proposed Methodology, Expected contribution to the literature. Track 2: Advanced research paper presentation - Track two is for scholars who are in their advanced stages of thesis. Research scholars who have made progress in thesis work and are near to submission/ submitted and waiting for defence are expected to participate. Participants are requested to follow the following structure for paper submission: Introduction, Extensive literature review, Research gaps, Objectives, Hypothesis, Methodology, interpretation of results, conclusion and policy or managerial implications.

Paper Submission Guidelines Kindly refer to the following guidelines before submitting your manuscript. § Cover page: Each paper should have a cover page which includes title of the paper, abstract (not more than 200 words), author names and affiliations with full postal addresses, email address and mobile Number. § Structure of the paper Doctoral proposal track: Introduction, followed by literature review, Research gaps, Objectives, Hypothesis, Methodology, Expected contribution to the literature. Doctoral Thesis paper Track: Introduction, followed by literature review, Research gaps, Objectives, Hypothesis, methodology, interpretation of results, conclusion and policy or managerial implications § Font: Times New roman, size 12, double space. § Maximum words: 8000 (for Doctoral Thesis paper) , 5000( for Doctoral Proposal). § References: All papers should follow the APA 6th Edition style guide available at: http://www.apastyle.org/manual/, List the references in alphabetical order at the end of the paper. All references must be single spaced and must be distinguished by hanging indents. § Paper should be sent via mail to [email protected]. § While sending the mail, the authors should clearly mention the track and area (theme)

Registration Process No registration fee is charged for the full time as well as part time research scholars. Registration forms will be sent to the authors of accepted papers. Those who are not presenting papers but wish to attend the conference will be charged Rs. 1500/- as registration fee and they are required to pay accommodation charges as per the institute rules, if they require campus accommodation.

Travel and Accommodation The IBS Hyderabad will reimburse to and fro 3rd AC train fare in shortest route within India for one of the authors (full time Research scholar) who will be presenting papers in the conference. The part-time research scholars shall not be given travel reimbursement. For getting travel reimbursement, the research scholar has to submit a certificate of bonafide candidature as a full-time research scholar duly signed by the Dean/Head of the respective department at the time of the conference. Free accommodation at the campus on a twin sharing basis and other hospitality will be provided for the paper presenters (full time as well as part time scholars).
