STUDENT ADVISOR TO THE BOARD: The South Harrison County RII Board of Education recognizes the unique perspectives held by students on issues impacting the school district. Therefore, the Board is now taking applications for a high school junior to serve as a nonvoting advisor to the Board. The term will begin January 1st each year and end on December 31st of the same year. All interested JUNIORS who wish to apply need to pick up an application packet in the high school office. Applications are due on Monday, Dec. 1st by 3:10 pm in the high school office. SUPPORT THE WRESTLING TEAM BY CLEANING YOUR CLOSET!! The wrestlers have 2 bins at HyVee that take clothes and shoes. Anything donated goes towards a fundraiser for them. SHHS Wrestling Team will receive money for every pound of material donated. All you have to do is open the bin and drop in your unwanted stuff. THE ANNUAL STUDENT COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE will be Monday, November 17 through Monday, November 24! Sometime that week, students in grades 612 should bring their nonperishable food donations to Mrs. Slagle's room (110) before or after school. Every student that brings 10 or more items will get to participate in a movie party with snacks during school on Wednesday, Nov. 26 (56th hours). Also, all donators names will be place in a drawing for some awesome prizes! All the donations will go to The Mistletoe project (HCCH) which helps to feed Harrison County families in need during the holiday season. REMEMBER, YEARBOOKS CAN BE PURCHASED for $30 before Christmas break, after that time, the price will go up to $35. Personalization is available for $5 and icons are available for $3 each.
