THE BOOK OF THE NAMES OF THE DEAD During the month of November, the Church especially remembers all those who have died. We pray in commending their souls to God, witness is given to our faith in the future resurrection of the baptized with Christ. On the long table in the Commons area is placed “The Book of the Names of the Dead” which will remain for the full month. We invite anyone to write the names of any family member, relative or friend who has died on the pages of the book. There is a separate line for each name you wish to add. During the General Intercessions (the Prayer of the Faithful) we will pray each weekend for all those whose names are listed in the book. We hope that everyone will add to their own personal prayer the faithful departed and promise of eternal life with God in heaven given to each of us at our baptism.

“It is in and through family life that the wondrous discovery of God-with-us can be made, over and over again. The New Evangelization seeks to create love stories between the faithful and Jesus so that they then create homes that are fertile ground for discovering God-With-us. From those homes they will come to create parishes that are both beacon and hearth for God’s beloved who have wandered or been made outcast, for they know the joy of the Gospel and are compelled to share it.” For information about our Ministry at CTK, please contact Ed Webb at 757-858-6047 or e-mail [email protected]
