Music Ministry News Without such dedicated people in the Music Ministry, where would the parish be? Thanks to all the wonderful and dedicated people who participated in the Easter liturgies. ST. PATRICK'S PARISH

One Bread, One Body Annual Appeal: This week all registered parishioners in the Archdiocese of Anchorage will receive a letter from Archbishop Schwietz about the 2007 Annual Appeal — One Bread, One Body. This appeal is the time each year when we unite as a local Church to help make possible the archdiocesan ministries that serve children, youth and adults. Please watch for Archbishop Schwietz’ letter and start considering what you might contribute to this vital archdiocesan-wide effort. St. Patrick’s Online: Have you checked out our parish website lately? Weekly bulletins are now being posted, as well as lots of other schedule and ministry information. Please take a moment and go to www.st.patsak.org. It’s a new way to find out what’s going on around the old parish! Mass with Anointing of the Sick: The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be offered during the 8:30am Mass, on Sunday May 6, 2007.(A Parish Sacrament) Have you ever been seriously ill? Have you ever been anointed during a celebration of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick? Healing was essential to what Jesus did and the mission of the disciples:...they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them" (see Mark 6:7-13). The Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament of Healing. Anointing “is not intended for all those only who are at the point of death”. You can be anointed for any kind of physical or emotional problem. Second Vatican Council placed the sacrament once again in the context of mutual prayer and concern described in the Epistle of James. A Note of Caution: Please keep these guidelines in mind as you use our parish parking lot: —Enter and exit slowly; —Watch for people walking to and from their cars; —Observe ONE WAY TRAFFIC in the circle around the fountain. Traffic should move first past the hall and then past the church, in that one direction only. If we all cooperate in the use of our parking lot we can keep it a safe place for everyone. Thanks very much!
