The Ten Drum Percussion Group performs slow tempo as well as upbeat drumming, relaxing and exciting their audience at the same time. A spectator described the performance as "mystical, a journey right to the group's village, peacefully taking in the fresh air and music."

Introduction Ten Drum is a traditional percussion group from Taiwan whose music is driven by culture and traditions. The group has a strong educational focus. Objectives Our objectives were to achieve a sold out performance with maximum publicity in the local media. Message The Beat of Taiwan - Creating awareness of Taiwan's culture and traditions Event The performance took place on the 10th of September at the Odeion, University of the Free State. Different activities that involved and entertained the community were performed. Results Six articles (one of which on the front page) ensured great publicity for the event. A sold-out performance left a satisfied audience, long-term relationships and increased awareness of Taiwan's culture and traditions.
