CENTRAL FULTON SCHOOL DISTRICT Act 1 Referendum Information
Pursuant to Act 1, the Pennsylvania Department of Education publishes an index % applicable to the School District. For the upcoming 2014-15 fiscal year, the school district real estate tax increase is limited to the index, 2.8%, unless a higher tax rate is approved by voters pursuant to a referendum or the School District qualifies for an Act 1 exception. For the upcoming fiscal year, the School District does not intend to seek approval from the Pennsylvania Department of Education or the County Court, as required by Act 1, for an exception allowing an increase of the real estate tax above the index. The District will be planning the 2014-15 budget with Act 1 limits.
