FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 9, 2015
COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR (Allentown, PA – March 9, 2015) Community Music School (CMS) – a non-profit organization providing quality music education to the Lehigh Valley since 1981 – is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Jeff Reed as its incoming director. Reed will transition into the leadership position currently held by Mrs. Carolyn G. Clarke. Clarke has been an asset to CMS for over 15 years, first in marketing and development and then as Director of CMS from 2009 to present. “It has been an honor to have worked with our Board of Directors, our professional faculty and staff, our community partners and our donors through my years of service,” noted Clarke. “It most certainly has been a joy to know and work with our many students and family members as they became part of the CMS family through the study of music. I extend my thank you to all for your assistance and for your continuing support of this fine organization.” Prior to joining CMS, Reed was Director of Strategic Alliances at the national office of AARP in Washington, DC and Founding Executive Director of Mount Vernon At Home, Inc., a non-profit membership organization in Alexandria, VA. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from Dartmouth College. Reed earlier had a 20 year career in the wireless data and messaging industry at Metrocall, Inc., and is a life-long choral singer. Mr. Reed resides in Salisbury Township with his wife, The Rev. Elizabeth Hoffman Reed, and their two children.
