COMMUNITY MUSIC SCHOOL ANNUAL BRUNCH SET FOR MAY 3 (Allentown, PA – April 1, 2015) Community Music School (CMS) – a non-profit organization providing quality music education to the Lehigh Valley since 1981 – announces their annual Brunch & Silent Auction fundraiser “The Magic of Music” to be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Lehigh Country Club from 12 noon to 3pm. Since 1987, this event continues to be a highlight of the year with all proceeds benefiting CMS’s quality music education programming. Honorary Chairs are Charles & Ruth Marcon, with special recognition of Ms. Ann Williams, Chancellor and PennState Lehigh Valley. Co-Chairs of the event are Sue Capobianco and Pat Hudson. This year’s brunch includes an extensive silent auction and music performances by CMS faculty and students. The CMS Silver Winds Flute Choir, under the direction of Dr. Nora Suggs, will welcome guests. Highlights of musical performances include student Emmanuel DeOliveira on piano; faculty members Linda Kistler on violin accompanied by Dr. David Saturen on piano; student Carolyn Boulay, soprano and faculty Rebekah Graver, soprano with Dr. David Saturen on piano; and the faculty trio of Rebekah Ruth on piano, Elaine Martin on flute, and Shane Barker on viola. Highlights of the silent auction include a hand-knotted rug from India donated by Ward’s Oriental Rug Service, Hand-twisted Copper Bonsai made of recycled cooper cable wire by local artist Carol L.
