LOCKDOWN New Procedures EVACUATE LOCKS, LIGHTS, OUT OF SIGHT BLOCK AND OBSTRUCT* DISPERSE AND DISTRACT*

LOCKDOWN Evacuate

EVACUATE With a threat inside the building, if the opportunity presents itself, evacuate to a safe location in the surrounding neighborhood and notify authorities of your location.  

LOCKDOWN Locks, Lights, Out of Sight

LOCKS, LIGHTS, OUT OF SIGHT If you are unable to safely evacuate, find the nearest room, lock the doors, turn off the lights and stay out of sight.

 

LOCKDOWN Block and Obstruct

BLOCK AND OBSTRUCT* If an intruder is aware of your location, take steps to block or obstruct entryways with items in the room. Then disperse students throughout the room, not clustered together.  

LOCKDOWN Disperse and Distract

DISPERSE AND DISTRACT* If the intruder gains entry to your location, maintain a dispersed pattern and distract his or her focus by throwing items.

Safe-2-Tell Anonymous Reporting A safe, anonymous way to report any threats to a student’s safety or the safety of someone else.

Security at Schools Personnel •  26 Campus Supervisors across St. Vrain middle schools and high schools •  12 Security Resource Officers and 1 Supervisor across all St. Vrain schools – Boulder County Sheriff, Erie PD, Fredrick PD, Firestone PD, Longmont PD and Weld County Sheriff  •  Security/Emergency Manager

School Traffic Safety Parking Infractions and Fines •  Parking within 20 ft. of or on a crosswalk $25.00 •  Parking in a ‘NO PARKING’ zone $25.00 •  Parking within 15 ft. of a fire hydrant $35.00 •  Parking within 5 feet of a driveway $25.00

School Traffic Safety Parking Infractions and Fines •  It is illegal for anyone to park in a disability space, or the access lane, that is designated for a person with a disability. You must have a disability placard or plates to park in these spaces and the owner of the placard, or plates, must be the one to exit or enter the vehicle. •  Parking illegally in a disability space is a $100.00 fine.
