RE:
IMPORTANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF 2016 AFRICAN-AMERICAN VOTE
AMERICA’S AFRICAN-AMERICAN CITIZENS NEED TO STAND UP AND SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE OF CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT. We hear incessant grumbling regarding a lack of enthusiasm in support of African-American citizens to exercise their right to vote this 2016 election. The right which was a hard struggle to obtain for centuries, and only recently led to the first citizen of African-American heritage being elected as President of the United States. Do you feel African-American ancestors would approve withholding your vote over sour grapes? Did you expect one individual, even as President, to resolve over four-hundred years of discrimination in eight, short years? You know the answer. Now act accordingly and vote. The majority of all Americans were deeply proud that a citizen of African-American heritage was accorded the opportunity to serve as President. RIGHT NOW, the future of American democracy needs the African-American vote more than ever, and to sound out loud and clear. There is no room, TODAY, RIGHT NOW, for sour grapes. A failure to vote, to stand strong for equality, is failure in the face of fascism and racism, and these destructive agendas.
Hillary Clinton as a Democratic Party President, while clearly imperfect, is also greatly superior to Donald Trump as a Republican Party President.
A Democratic President nominating United States Supreme Court Justices is far superior to the African-American cause than any Republican President.
The next President will nominate Supreme Court justices which will either underscore our rights (Hillary Clinton), or undermine those rights (Donald Trump). Which will it be?
THINK. A Democratic President, and a United States Senate in the majority of Democratic, Independent, and Progressive legislators. That, or Donald Trump and Mitch McConnel. Which of the above is far superior to the rights of individuals? That answer, is clear, so vote! Importance of African-American Vote — Page 1
CONGRESS and the United States Senate This election cycle, America must also elect a WORKING CONGRESS. The choices are clear. A working Congress, or continued obstructionism by conservatives. TO MOVE AMERICA FORWARD AND ELECT A WORKING CONGRESS, WE RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING FOR THE U.S. SENATE IN KEY ELECTIONS ARIZONA
Ann Kirkpatrick (we have much respect for John McCain, but we feel Arizona needs to take a step forward, looking to the future).
COLORADO
Michael Bennet
FLORIDA
Patrick Murphy (we realize Rubio is a favored candidate, but he flip-flops, and under pressure is uneasy).
ILLINOIS
Tammy Duckworth
INDIANA
Evan Bayh
IOWA
Patty Judge
MISSOURI
Jason Kander
NEVADA
Catherine Cortez Masto
NEW HAMPSHIRE
Maggie Hassan
NORTH CAROLINA
Deborah Ross
OHIO

We can only urge our African-American citizens to get beyond discouragement. This is our America. It is your vote. Don’t throw it away. Our Afro-American ancestors did not! // American Strength // Importance of African-American Vote — Page 2
