HALLMARK GROUP STATEMENT REGARDING   DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES STATE AUDIT  October 5, 2017    The Hallmark Group’s skilled and dedicated team is rightfully proud to continue to play a significant role  on the California WaterFix project team, helping complete what by many accounts, is one of the most  complicated planning processes ever undertaken.   As evidenced by the Department of Water Resources’ (DWR) positive remarks regarding Hallmark’s  performance, our client and the water agencies funding the project were extremely satisfied with  Hallmark's strategic leadership, successful implementation of project cost control systems, and ability to  present policy makers with the information necessary to resolve issues.   Under Hallmark’s management, the California WaterFix has won two prestigious awards with our  President Mr. Charles Gardner being individually recognized by the Construction Management  Association of America (CMAA) for his role on the project.    Hallmark will not speculate on why an audit that was supposed to be focused on DWR’s general fund  expenditures, instead spent taxpayer dollars reevaluating Hallmark’s qualifications while failing to  accurately characterize the purpose for which Hallmark was employed on the project.   Hallmark looks forward to continuing to provide unparalleled management advice and expertise on this  and other programs important to the state of California and guide them to successful completion.    #END#
