North Ridgeville City Schools “Building on Success, One Individual at a Time”

Parents/Guardians, It is an exciting year for the North Ridgeville City District, specifically when it comes to the advancement of education. Not only is the district opening new facilities, it is also the inaugural year for the implementation of 1:1 technology as every student grades 3-12 will receive a Chromebook for educational use both at school and at home (CLICK HERE to find out more information about 1:1 technology) Parents/Guardians of students from grades 9-12 can pick up their Chromebooks in the Media Center of North Ridgeville High School on August 26th, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or at the new North Ridgeville Academic Center on August 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Parents/guardians of students in grades 3-8 can pick up their Chromebooks from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on August 28th or August 29th, at the North Ridgeville Academic Center. There will be an additional pick up time on August 29th in the evening from 5:30-7:30 at the Academic Center. Only students who have completed and had their parent portal approved will be eligible to pick up their Chromebooks. For families that choose to participate, the district will be offering an optional insurance program for the Chromebooks for accidental damage or breakage. This insurance can be purchased on the 28th or 29th in person, or via the District’s website for a limited time after pickup. The cost to purchase Chromebook insurance for the 2017-2018 school year is $20. If you have any questions regarding the distribution of Chromebooks, please contact your child’s school.
