Evening: Free Time and Dinner with Host Family

Tired of struggling to learn Spanish in a classroom setting? Not feeling that you’re progressing very much if at all? Need some adventure to spice up the learning experience? Then ACC in Costa Rica is just what el médico ordered! Everyone knows the best way to learn a foreign language is to immerse yourself in the culture and live with the locals, and Costa Rica is the ideal place to practice your Spanish in a beautiful, fun, and safe environment. The people are extremely friendly and patient and will make you feel at ease when speaking their language. You’ll spend two weeks living and eating with a Costa Rican family and have plenty of free time to meet people and make friends outside of class. You WILL see results at the end of the program! But you’ll be doing much more than just using your Spanish in San José! We will take many trips and excursions all over the country and visit historic churches, excellent museums, an awesome cemetery, two active volcanoes, relaxing hot springs, the most beautiful beach in the country, wildlife preserves, a pineapple plantation, thick jungles, culture-rich markets, wild waterfalls, lush valleys, and much more! We will also see monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, iguanas, toucans, scarlet macaws, hummingbirds, wild cats, butterflies, and many other fascinating and exotic animals during the trip. All this in the context of applying what you’ve learned in class, so you WILL solidify what you already know AND build upon that knowledge in this amazing country. Students have said that this trip is a life-changing experience, so join us next summer for your own amazing learning experience!
