5. Participation Each country/team can field as many entries they want in the Individual Events but in the Team Events each country/team can field only a maximum 2 teams per event. However, There will be no limited numbers of entries from the host country. 6. Deadline of Entries • Preliminary Entry (by event and number) – Form 1 by December 12, 2016 • Final Entry (by event and name) – Form 2, 3 & 4 by December 26, 2016 7. Competition Rules: The fencing competition shall be conducted in accordance with the current Statutes and Rules of the FIE. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the latest English version shall prevail. The Directoire de Technique (DT) shall deal with any unforeseen incidents not covered by the Rules. 8. Equipment: It is compulsory for all fencers to wear 350N for jacket and breeches, 800N for underplastrons and long socks. Mask with conductive bib for foil is required. All equipment must be submitted for weapons testing and must passed the weapons check by the Organizer before it is used in the competition. 9. Competition Management: (a) Referee Participating delegations must be accompanied by number of referees according to the FIE rules as follows: 1 – 4 fencers 5 – 9 fencers 10 or more fencers

Countries who do not send any referee in accordance with FIE rules will be fine US$ 300.00 All referees should wear black jackets and trousers. (b) Directoire de Technique (DT) The Directoire de Technique (DT) will be responsible for the technical organization of the competition. The members shall consist of five or more representatives from the participating countries, including three or more from the host country. (c) Protest Every appeal to the Jury of Appeal must be with a deposit of US$ 300.00 that will not be refundable. This sum will be confiscated in whole or in part if the Jury of Appeal rejects the appeal. Appeals must be lodged and written in English.

10. Prizes (a) Individual events, One (1) Gold, One (1) Silver and Two (2) Bronze medals to the top four (4) fencers (b) Team events, four (4) Gold medals for the champion team, Four (4) Silver medals for the second placed team, and two (2) sets of four (4) Bronze medals (c) Championship Trophy will be given to the overall medal winner Participation certificates will be given to all delegates. 11. Entry fee can be paid at the registration table during the managers’ meeting. 12. Accommodation The accommodation for Athletes only is available at the Games village at a limited number. It is on a first come first serve basis and will be charged at USD$25.00 per person, per day that include meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Meals will be served at the dining hall in the Games village. Transportation: The organizing committee will be arranging the transportation from the Brunei Darussalam International Airport to the accommodation and vice versa for your Federation or Association. The organizing committee will provide transport from hotel to the venue, if necessary. 14. National Anthem and Flag: Please bring your National Anthem tape / CD and Flag 15. Photo Photos for all members in your team are needed for the making of the ID card. Photo can also be sent through email for a much faster process 16. Visa: Please check on the visa requirements to enter Brunei Darussalam at the Brunei Darussalam Embassy, Consulate or Visa Office in your country. Note: In case that your coaches and attendants do not have your nationality, they might need their visas to enter Brunei Darussalam.
