Elementary Summer School Join your friends for special activities, fun, and learning! Each elementary school is busy planning for lots of hands on and active learning for students who have completed Kindergarten through 4th grades. This class option meets for mornings only. Getting Ready for Kindergarten Each elementary school will have a special focus on incoming kindergarten students. Get to know your new school and meet future classmates. This morning only class is a great jump start to a successful transition to kindergarten.
Spanish Immersion Students who have completed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade may choose the Spanish Immersion Program, being held at Northern Lights in the morning only, June 12-29. Learn about the Spanish language, have fun with music, dance and Spanish culture! The Spanish Immersion class is taught by licensed native Spanish speaker, Maria Valley. Class size will be limited, so sign up early!
Musical Showcase If you enjoy dramatic arts and music, and have completed 3rd grade or above, you may choose to participate in the Musical Showcase this year! Students will gather at SMS for a full day of fun and learning July 10-27! We will be showcasing several shows this year. They include: Annie, Oliver, Mulan, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
*If attending either the Spanish Immersion or Musical Showcase, students have the option to sign up for morning or afternoon classes on the opposite times. NEW THIS YEAR! Afternoon Special Interest Classes This year, we will offer special interest classes at Bryant and Northern Lights for students who have completed grades K-4. Students will be assigned to the building nearest their home school for afternoon classes, and transportation will be provided between buildings. Descriptions can be found on the online enrollment form.

Elementary Afternoon Options Open to Students who have Completed Grades K – 4
Reading and Writing: Books are a window into worlds full of imagination and possibility. During the reading and writing workshop, we will explore different genres of books, practice and perform readers' theater, and write stories of our very own. Together we will share excitement about literature and go on adventures without ever leaving our school. Cooking: Let’s get inspired in the kitchen! Together we will explore and create some delicious new summer treats. Learn about measuring, mixing, and tasting interesting new foods. Math and Science: Join us for fun and engaging activities exploring math and science topics through hands-on experiences. Art & Creativity: Do you enjoy making art? Do you want to increase your creativity skills? Learning how to be creative will make you more successful in all areas of study and play. In this class you will have fun while producing original works of art! STEM: This afternoon session will be jam packed with a variety of activities to make learning fun for everyone! We will enjoy trying new games, do arts and crafts, dig into coding, and experiment with engaging and motivating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) challenges. Students can take control of their learning based on topics they like.
