200+ Kobane citizens (presumably almost all of them of Kurdish origin) died that day in an attack by ISIS. A day that will live ”in infamy” forever. The next day Kuwait and Tunesia and France were also hit by terror attacks - with much lower casualty numbers though. The following day, top political leaders from Europe, The US and UN condemmed the attacks in these three countries - but (the Kurds in) Kobane were apparently not even mentioned at all?? The US was even quick to offer "any necessary support.” The statement from the US Press Secretary read that "We stand with these nations as they respond to attacks on their soil today, and we have been in contact with appropriate counterparts in all three countries to offer any necessary support." US Secretary of State, John Kerry, tweeted his sympathy: ” Thinking of victims of attacks in #France #Kuwait #Somalia #Tunisia. Such acts will not deter us in our shared fight against terrorism. ” Kobane wasn't mentioned in any of his tweets. The Kurds have a saying, "We Kurds have no friends but the mountains". People in the world: Look at Rojava. Let us give them the help and support they need. Let us show our elected leaders that Kurdish lives matter - and that we expect them to take decisive and immediate action. Stop ISIS.
