FROM THE DE@CON’S BENCH – We have a window into heaven, a doorway into eternal life with God. We don’t have to die to experience it. That is what the Transfiguration teaches us. Christ shows us as He showed His disciples, on the mountain, that we can be in touch with heaven and those already there. These connections have been afforded us through the Church, Eucharist and prayer. When we love someone through our sacrifice of self, so much that it transcends into the Spiritual realm by prayer and interaction with the Holy Spirit, a window into heaven often opens for us. Just as the disciples could see and communicate with Moses, Elijah and Jesus Christ; we too can connect with the communion of saints and experience God’s presence in a special way. Heaven is not far away.

Greg VOCATION VIEWS – 'This Lent Jesus invites us to go up on a mountain, to spend extra time in prayer. Don't be afraid of what you might experience. Trust that God is leading you to greater understanding.' (Matthew 17:1-9) THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU - If you are searching for direction and forgiveness to move forward in your life, if you are you ready to take that next step to know God’s love and mercy in a very tangible way, join us Tuesday, March 14 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Holy Redeemer, along with most Catholic churches (or pastoral regions) in the Archdiocese, will be open for quiet prayer and Confession. Learn more at: www.lightison4u.org.
