Orders of the Vice-Chancellor, UAS, Dharwad, dated 10.12.2007. … In pursuance of the above and in accordance with the ICAR guidelines, qualifications for appointments to the posts of posts of Programme Assistants/Farm Managers under KVKs and Technical Assistants under ICAR Schemes in UAS, Dharwad are prescribed as enclosed in the Annexure. ANNEXURE Notification No.R/BOR-121/2007, dated 18.11.2007. QUALIFICATIONS PRESCRIBED FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE POSTS OF PROGRAMME ASSISTANTS/ FARM MANAGERS UNDER KVKs & TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS UNDER ICAR SCHEMES, IN UAS, DHARWAD. I. Programme Assistant / Technical Assistant : a. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agricultural Mktg. & Co-operation / Sericulture /Home Science / Agril.Engineering / Veterinary Science/ Animal Science / Forestry from a recognized Agricultural University with good academic record with a minimum OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or CGPA of 2.25/4.00 or its equivalent or 55% of marks (where grade points are not in vogue). b. A relaxation of minimum OGPA from 6.50/10.00 to 6.00/10.00 and CGPA of 2.25/4.00 to 2.00/4.00 is provided for SC/ST category (55% to 50% of marks where grade points are not in vogue). II. Farm Managers: a. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture from a recognized Agricultural University with good academic record with a minimum OGPA of 6.50/10.00 or CGPA of 2.25/4.00 or its equivalent or 55% of marks (where grade points are not in vogue). b. A relaxation of minimum OGPA from 6.50/10.00 to 6.00/10.00 and CGPA of 2.25/4.00 to 2.00/4.00 is provided for SC/ST category (55% to 50% of marks where grade points are not in vogue). III. Programme Assistant (Computer): a. B.Sc. (Computer Science) / Bachelor in Computer Application / B.Sc. with PG diploma in computer applications from a recognized University with good academic record with minimum 40% marks. b. A relaxation of 40% to 35% marks is provided for SC/ST category. Note: Kannada speaking, reading and writing is essential for all KVK & ICAR Scheme posts in UAS, Dharwad.
