Tucked away under New Westminster's bridges is an quiet island getaway. "Where in the world are we?" was the constant question as we explored around Queensborough on the Fraser River. It's a quiet meandering kind of place with very little traffic, a bike path at the eastern end and a dyke on the south.

Cue Sheet 1. Start at 22nd Street Skytrain station ride south over Queensborough Bridge 2. At bottom of ramp turn sharp right and ride east along Boyd Street 3. Left/east along Duncan 4. Corner of Furness and Duncan is start of Port Royal Bicycle Route 5. Right on riverside pathway 6. North on Stanley Street Greenway 7. Left/west at Ewen Avenue ride through Old School House Park (Washrooms here) 8. Left/south on Pembina Street 9. Right/west South Dyke Road all the way to ~ 10. Lunch- TugBoat Annie's Pub Graybar Road 11. Return route retracing tracks and just past Boundary Road enter Thompson Landing Park to ride the path along east side of canal 12. Cross Westminster Hwy and and ride bike pathway to Howes Street 13. Continue east on narrow pathway just past the lights until you come to a bike path through the mall !!! 14. Path emerges at Fraser River then east on grassy path along river bank and under bridge to Wood Street 15. Take west side of Queensborough Bridge back to Skytrain Station
