Coupeville School District Procedure No. 6214-P Gifts
Equipment and material donated to a school or brought to the school for temporary use will be reviewed by the superintendent or his/her designee for suitability and durability, and for any possible health or safety hazards. All gifts become district property and are accepted without obligation relative to use and/or disposal. Any gift presented to the district must satisfy the following criteria: A. The purpose or use is consistent with the philosophy and programs of the district; B. The district assumes only a minimum financial obligation for installation, maintenance and operation; C. The equipment is free from health and/or safety hazards; and D. The equipment is free from a direct or implied commercial endorsement.
