Lr.No. 677 /RVM (SSA)/ C2 /2012, dated:06.12.2012 Sir, Sub: APSSA Hyd – RTE Act – Providing Primary and Upper Primary Schooling facility to all children in the age group of 6-14 years within neighbourhood– Names of habitations not having primary and upper primary schools – called for. *** I wish to inform that as per RTE Act, every child in a habitation shall be provided primary and upper primary schooling facility within the specified distance i.e., 1 Km. and 3 Kms respectively. As per the Micro Planning exercise 2012-13, 2929 habitations do not have Primary schooling facility and, 4020 habitations do not have Upper Primary schooling facility. Most of these habitations are in tribal areas. The district-wise no. of habitations don’t have primary and upper primary schooling facility are enclosed herewith. Hence, I request you to instruct all District Educational Officers/ Project Officers of RVM and ITDA to furnish the names of all habitations without primary and upper primary schooling facility along with detailed proposals for opening of new primary schools and upgrading of primary schools into upper primary schools as per RTE norms so as to include in the Annual Work Plan 2013-14 on or before 15.12.2012.
