*Call to Worship Psalm 46 (Pastor and People) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though its waters roar and foam. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, Zion; God is in her midst. God will help when the morning dawns; the Lord of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge.

SERVICE OF HOLY COMMUNION Invitation (Leader and People) Beloved in Christ, the Gospel tells us that on the first day of the week Jesus Christ was raised from death appeared to Mary Magdalene and other women, on that same day sat at the table with two disciples, and was made known to them in the breaking of the bread. This is the joyful feast of the people of God. Men and women, youth and children, come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and gather about Christ’s table.

The Apostle’s Creed I believe in God the Father almighty, maker of Heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and dead, I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Bountiful God, we give you thanks that you have refreshed us at your table by granting us the presence of Christ, through Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen our faith, increase our love for one another, and send us forth into your world in courage and peace, rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

This table is for all who wish to know the presence of Christ and to share in the communion of God’s people. Prayer of Confession (Leader and People) If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and good, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us confess our sins before God and one another. Most merciful God, we confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. For the sake of Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and follow in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen. Assurance of Pardon God hears the confession of our hearts and lips. Through Jesus Christ we are forgiven of our sins, and by the Holy Spirit we are empowered for new life. We believe the Good News of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to our God.
