LIABILITY INSURANCE When employees, parent(s)/guardian(s), or volunteers are acting within the scope of their school employment or duties, the District is subject to their torts (a wrongful act, damage, or injury done willfully, negligently, or in circumstances involving strict liability) as provided by the Iowa Code. When employees, parent(s)/guardian(s), or volunteers are driving their personal vehicles for an authorized school activity, the drivers are covered under the District’s automobile liability policy (bodily injury to others and damage to other’s property) to the limit of the District’s insurance coverage.
