Mahoning Valley District AFRICA UNIVERSITY RALLY Today is the day for our Rally at 4 p.m. at Howland UMC, 730 Howland-Wilson Rd., NE. Don’t miss this opportunity to get the most up-to-date information about the plans for the future of AU and have all your questions answered. Ladies: Join us tomorrow at 7 p.m. for our monthly Hazel Circle Meeting. We will meet in the Parlor with Michelle Dangel in charge of the program. This Wednesday is the Senior Moment Café at 12:30 p.m. at Winona Friends. This is open to all members of the community, age 55 and up. Sign up on the bulletin board for our Sept. 29th Free & Alive outing to Sugarcreek. While the ladies enjoy the comedy play “Mennonite Girls Can Cook”, the men will head to Keim Lumber. Volunteers are needed to deliver the food donations to the House on the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. Please consider signing up for this easy and very much appreciated task! Also, a signup sheet has been posted for volunteers to serve as Acolytes & Scripture Readers. Sign up today for the Sunday(s) of your choice. September 25th Blue Basket Offering: Christina House Women and Children’s Shelter Thank you to everyone who purchased dinners at Wednesday’s drive-thru dinner. We made a little over $1,000 to help Preschool with their expenses! Our next Cook’s Night Off will be Wednesday, Oct. 5th. Our menu will be ham, macaroni & cheese, ramen cole slaw, a dinner roll & apple crisp – all for a suggested donation of $8 each. If you’d like to reserve a dinner, sign up today on the bulletin board!

Hospice of the Valley is offering an 8 week grief group series for anyone who has recently lost a loved one, starting September 21st from 3 – 4:30 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. If you would like more details, check out their flyer on the bulletin board.
