COMMENCEMENT OF EARLY REGISTRATION FOR KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 12 FOR SY2018-2019 To:

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 25, s. 2017 entitled, School Calendar for School Year 2017

2018, this Office reminds Ihe field of the commencement of Early Registration for Kindergarten to Grade 12 on January 27, 2018 in all public elementary and secondary schools for SY 2018
- 2019 to warrant maximum inclusive participation of learners and
completion of the basic education cycle. 2.
All public elementary and secondary schools are encouraged to initiate a massive advocacy campaign to find children and youth in the communities not currently enrolled and bring them to school. This ;hall be undertaken from January 27 to February 28, 2018.

The objectives of the early r€gistration are: a. To ensure that all five - year old children are enrolled in kindergarten b. To locate, identify and enroll out of schoolchildren and youth who belong to the following: i. Children and youth in remote locations ii. Children and youth in difficult circumstances; iii. Children who belong :o di;advantaged groups or who suffer discrimination; vi. Children and youth with disabilities. c. To understand the barriers to access to education, identify local interventions, and ensure that they do no': drop out.
4.
In view of the conduct of the eariy registration, elementary and secondary School Heads shall identify the Registration Certer (RCs) in the school premises and individuals who will handle the registration on Jaivar 27 until February 28, 2018.

Each school shall organize their school Early Registration Action Team ([RAT), which shall be
composed of a Chairperson and Members. Tasks of the Early Registration shall be as follows: 4.1. Oversee the School LE\'el concerns on Early Registration of Kindergarten to Grade 12. 4.2. Set - up hotlines to receive calls, text messages and c-mails or concerns 4.3. Set —up Help - Desk tc accommodate field and walk - in concerns; and 4.4. Update/ submit report in terms of data needed utilizing the online link: tinyurl.com/earlyreg2018dasma

All schools are advised to undertake information campaign activities and different local forms of media for advocacy such as tarpaulin display, signage, public announcement and meetings involving th€ pareri.s in the community, local officials, civic organizations and other stakeholders. It shall b2 led by the School Heads and District Supervisors purposely to bring the most number of school going age children and youth in school.

The attached list of Division Early Registration Monitoring Team shall ensure that the early registration period accivities shall reach a wide coverage of implementation to guarantee that the most number of registrants will come out to register.
