Introduction and Overview • MII is one of several modules of an integrated suite of cost engineering tools called Tri-Service Automated Cost Engineering Systems (TRACES) • It interfaces with other PC-based support modules (e.g. PACES) and databases used by the Tri-Service Cost Engineering community
• MII provides an integrated cost estimating system (software and databases) that meets the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requirements for preparing cost estimates • Currently the USACE HQ requirement for all districts to use MII, as well as all architect-engineering (A-E) firms performing design work for the USACE
Introduction and Overview (cont’d) DOS-based “Micro-Computer Aided Cost Estimating System” (MCACES) developed during build up of Saudi Arabia in late 1970’s
The latest version of MII (4.3) will be released in fall of 2015
