Adventures in designing new aircraft and collecting antique airplanes Presentation by Steve Ericson – former Lockheed Skunk Works Senior Manager; Engineer on Team Nemesis with Jon Sharp – designed, fabricated and flight tested Nemesis DR1 Formula One air racer at Mojave – the most winning aircraft in air racing history & currently on display at the Smithsonian. While working at Scaled Composites, worked in rapid prototyping on Aries fighter, Special Mission Utility Transport (SMUT) Pond Racer & others. Presently, Steve is Director of Advanced Design at The Spaceship Company (TSC). Private pilot, single & multi-engine land and multi-engine sea plane ratings. Owns 2 Great Lakes Biplanes, 2 Motor gliders, a twin-engine homebuilt and a J-3 Cub. Has also owned a German Fieseler Fi-156 Storch and a 1936 Aeronca C-3.
