Post of Career Guidance Counselor University of Jaffna will entertain applications from qualified persons for the Post of Career Guidance Counselor. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized University with four years’ experience in the field of student affairs. (Applicant with postgraduate qualifications in the area of counseling and or experience in Career Guidance activities will be given preference) Salary Scale: Rs.49,860 - 3 x 1,240 – 53,580(EB) 54,820- 14×1240-72,180/- p.m Note: a. The above salary scales are fully operative w.e.f 01.01.2020 and the placement of salary applicable to the posts for the years 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020 will be made in accordance with the University Grants Commission Circular No.17/2016 dated 05.12.2016. b. The following requirements should be fulfilled for the efficiency bar on completion for four years of service from the date of appointment and having earned all three annual increments. i. Obtain a postgraduate qualifications in an area related to counseling and ii. Obtain good record of service during the four year period. In addition to the above salary, 1. The following allowances will be paid as the percentage of the basic salary to the financial value existed as at 31.12.2015: i) Additional monthly allowance – 20% of the basic salary ii) Monthly Compensatory Allowance - 20% 2. Those who wish to send the application forms downloaded from the University website should attach a Money Order/Postal Order for Rs.100/- drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna.
