Alcan Highway Black History
Brief Summary "During World War II in the Canadian Wilderness, 10,607 U.S. soldiers built a road 1,522 miles long in eight months (19421943). Around 3,695 of these soldiers were Black men." Besides giving valuable details on the Black History of the AlaskaCanadian (Alcan) Highway, this wonderful site has many photos showing African Americans building the Alcan Highway.
