AIM: story
testimony
“ AIM is, by far, the most comprehensive and effective approach to language teaching and learning being utilized in the world today. The results speak for themselves. ” – Gary Carkin, Ph.D. Southern New Hampshire University, USA
Finally, a language program both teachers and students love – that really works! After teaching French and “Spanish for over 30 years, AIM is
absolutely the most satisfying program I have ever taught. The students talk to each other in class using only the target language…They WANT to speak the language outside of the classroom…I look forward to every single day in my AIM classroom.
”
- Marcia Pastorek, Teacher, Academy of the Sacred Heart, USA
amazed at how “quicklyI amstudents grasp the
language. I’ve never seen a breakthrough in education as powerful as this in any other subject

Language education that reall y works!
Coming from a background of “ 20 years in French Immersion schools in Montréal, I’ve never seen a core French program that produces fluency the way the AIM program does. All our students are thoroughly enjoying the AIM experience.

The Accelerative Integrated Methodology (AIM) brings true transformation to the experience of teaching and learning a second language. Blending the best of language-acquisition theory and brain-based research with systematized and engaging classroom practice, AIM creates astounding results.
kinesthetic props allow the vocabulary and associated grammar to pass directly to meaning, neatly sidestepping the tendency to mentally translate each word back into the first language.
Through the use of high-frequency vocabulary – introduced with gestures and contextualized in stories, drama, songs and dance – AIM students rapidly achieve levels of oral and written proficiency rarely seen with conventional methods. No other methodology builds and scaffolds language learning as carefully and comprehensively as the AIM.
Useful, key words are taught first. AIM Creator Wendy Maxwell’s ‘pared-down language’ is made up of the most useful and highest-frequency words. These key words are introduced within the first few hours of instruction, giving students the tools they need early on to communicate. The AIM approach includes a unique way to teach even difficult-to-conjugate verbs.
Already in use in more than 4,000 schools across Canada, AIM is becoming an international phenomenon. The program has a quickly growing base in the US and Europe, is used in hundreds of schools in Australia, and is being implemented in pilot projects in Madagascar, Senegal, Vietnam, Korea and Thailand.
Grammar raps are memorized to learn and use the rules, as well as understand language patterns. Students are amazed to discover grammar can be both cool and fun!
Simply put, whether for French, English, Spanish or Mandarin, AIM delivers language education that really works. The methodology gives students a working proficiency in the target language in record time using these unique strategies: Gestures are used to introduce and reinforce vocabulary and enable a target-language only environment. These visual and
Songs, dances and plays engage students in an exciting classroom environment. Providing this ‘meaningful input’ allows students to become emotionally connected and ensures the language is always grounded in context. Cooperative learning activities get students working with each other, speaking and writing creatively in the target language. The highly participatory and active learning environment in an AIM classroom is uniquely designed to ensure students of all abilities and learning styles are supported.
be more amazed and “thrilledI couldn’t with my students’ success.
Every day I go into work, I feel like I am making a difference. I feel so successful because finally my students feel successful. This is the best thing that has happened to me in my many years of teaching.
The AIM Spanish program “has transformed my students into
competent Spanish communicators and has made my classroom into an exciting, motivating and fun environment. Teaching with AIM is phenomenal!

been as inspired “in myI’velifenever as I was after attending an AIM conference. It has turned my teaching 180 degrees. It is exactly like the lifestyle diet that you use after achieving a certain weight loss.
