Follow these steps to register for Math XL (online homework program) 1) Go to www.mathxlforschool.com and bookmark this page so you can easily access it in the future. (Don’t go to the site www.mathxl.com). 2) Click “Register as a Student”. 3) Read the privacy policy and license agreement and click “I Accept”. 4) Select that you do not already have a pearson account. 5) Create a login name and password. I would recommend using your BVSD username and password. 6) Enter the access code: HSMXL-AUXIL-POLKA-POWAN-BUSBY-RITES 7) Type in your first and last name. When asked for your email address, give the email address that you check daily. 8) Select “United States” for school country. 9) Type our school zip-code 80027. Click the dropdown menu for “school name”. Monarch is NOT listed, so scroll to the bottom and choose “other”. Then type “Monarch High School”, city “Louisville”, and state “Colorado”. 10) Select a security question and type in your answer. 11) Go to the next page, and click “Log in now”. Enter your username and password. 12) Where it says “choose how you will work in MathXL for School” select the first option “I am taking a course that is using MathXL for School and need to enroll in my instructor’s course”. 13) Enter the following Course ID. Type: XL05-J1QQ-901Z-0WM3. It will ask you if “Algebra 2 Period 3” is the correct course, click “enroll”, then click “ok”. 14) When you are logged into your account, you will first see the course home page. Click on the tab “Homework and Tests” on the left side of the screen to view/access homework assignments. 15) If you haven’t used Math XL in your previous math classes or would like a refresher on how to use Math XL, click the assignment labeled “orientation”. Here you’ll find a video (item #1) and 12 sample questions with explanation for how to use the program and enter answers. The orientation is optional but it will better prepare you for Math XL assignments.
