1. Fake It Till You Make it - keep your website + social media fresh and current - make it clear what you do + how to reach you - represent your “brand” clearly 2. Sign Up For Apps + Services - these can offer some hidden gems - great way to get your first paying gigs! - examples: PopPays, Collectively, Obviously Studio 3. Be Open To Jobs, Even If They Aren’t “Dream Offers” - be selective but be open - if it gives you opportunities to practice skills, it can be worthwhile + lead to other things 4. Pitch Yourself! And Pitch Often! - don’t wait- seek out the brands you want to work with - always pitch in email, not on social media - be clear, direct, and BRIEF in your initial email - give specific ideas of ways to work together 5. Create The Work You WANT To Do - if people can’t see it, they won’t know you can do it - hone your skills, display your creativity + vision - this is how you build credibility 6. Always Be Doing All Of These Things - the habit of doing all of these regularly will lead to work - stay consistent!
