What makes your team unique from the others in your company? Our company is a bank – and we’re the startup that helps the mothership moves into the 21​st​ century and challenge the boundaries. What do you enjoy most about your job? I love every single day – I love coming to work. It’s a dream come true to work with technologist who live and breathe technology, it’s incredible. What does your position entail you to spend your day doing? I have an opportunity to work on multiple different things all the way from working on technology to hiring people to working new products to help business people think about products, to working with designers, to all the way with people who are deep into robotics. ​ hat’s your story? W I did well at school in science and mathematics and went onto study industrial electric engineering. I got distracted and didn’t finish my studies but then went to computer science – so it’s actually a good choice. Since then I’ve been doing internships but the major thing I did was building electronic warfare equipment – that was mind blowingly cool. Then I went into a company called Discovery Health which was one of the major health companies in South Africa and then I went into the bank. As part of that whole journey – it was about staying true to technology and software development because that’s what I really enjoy.
