Advance Correction Slip No, 125 In the RailwayServices(Conduct)Rules, 1966, in Rule 3:1. I n s u b - r u l e ( 1 ) , a f t e r c l a u s e ( i i i ) , t h e f o l l o w i n gc l a u s e ss h a l l b e i n s e r t e d , namely:"(iv) commit himself to and uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and democraticvalues; (v)
defend and uphold the sovereigntyand integrity of India, the security of the State, public order, decencyand morality;
(vi)
m a i n t a i nh i g h e t h i c a ls t a n d a r d sa n d h o n e s t y ;
(vii)
maintain politicatneutrality;
(viii) promote the principtesof merit, fairnessand impartiality in the discharge of duties; (ix)
maintain accountabilityand transparency;

maintain responsivenessto the public, particularlyto the weaker section;
(xi)
maintain courtesy and good behaviourwith the public;

(xv) not misusehis position as railway servant and not take decisionsin order to derive financial or material benefits for himself, his family or his friends;
(xvi) make choices,take decisionsand make recommendationson merit alone; (xvii) act with fairness and impartiality and not discriminate against anyone, particularlythe poor and the under-privilegedsectionsof society;
(xviii) refrain from doing anything which is or may be contrary to any law, rules, regulations and establishedpractices; (xix) maintain discipline in the discharge of his duties and be liable to implementthe lawful orders duly communicatedto him; (xx)

maintain confidentiality in the performance of his official duties as required by any laws for the time being in force, particularly with regard to information, disclosure of which may prejudicially affect the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the State, strategic, scientific or economic interests of the State, friendly relation with foreign countries or lead to incitement of an offence or illegal or unlawful gain to any person;
(xxi) perform and discharge his duties with the highest degree of professionalismand dedication to the best of his abilities. 2.
