Important Note:

The drive from San Francisco, to the Anvil Vineyard and Ranch, is approximately 2 ½ hours. We recommend driving to the ranch during daylight – the last 40 minutes of the drive are on windy country roads. (Sometimes on single lane road) The Ranch is approximately an hour’s drive from any store, or gas station. We recommend filling your car with gas either in Santa Rosa or Healdsburg. If you want to stop for groceries, or a restroom… Healdsburg, CA is your last stop for a large grocery store. To get to the Safeway there, take the “Central Healdsburg” exit, and go straight through the first traffic light, and at the next traffic light take a left turn. Then, make one of your first right turns into a complex with stores and fast food restaurants. You’ll see the Safeway ahead, and on your left. Also, Healdsburg is probably your last, reliable cell phone coverage – unless you have “Verizon” or “US Cellular” or “Sprint “service. To get to the ranch from San Francisco or the East Bay: 1. Find your way to Route 101 and head North 2. After about 1 ½ hrs, you’ll pass the town of “Santa Rosa” and then you’ll see signs for Healdsburg. (As mentioned, stop in Healdsburg if you need to pick up items from the grocery store, or if you have less than a 1/2 tank of gas. Also, if you are going to arrive on the ranch within an hour of a wedding ceremony’s start time, we recommend stopping in Healdsburg to use a restroom. (There’s one in the Safeway) The ranch guest house bathrooms will be in high demand an hour before the ceremony and their it is likely there will be a wait. 3. Exit hwy 101 at the: “Dry Creek Rd” exit. (It is the exit after “Central Healdsburg” exit) Ideally, reset your odometer at this point. Mileages will be given in the below directions. 4. At the end of the exit ramp, take a left turn and continue onto Dry Creek Rd. 5. At about 3.2 miles, or about 4 minutes, you will come to a stop sign. (The small “Dry Creek general store” will be on your right.) Continue straight through the stop sign, staying on Dry Creek rd 6. At approximately 9.5 miles, or 13 minutes from when you exited 101, you will pass Sbragia winery on your right. 7. Soon after, the road will make a sharp left turn. The road now becomes Skaggs Springs Rd. Continue onward. 8. Within 3 to 5 more minutes, or 11.7 miles since exiting hwy 101, you will make a left turn onto “Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Rd”. BE READY FOR THIS LEFT TURN… IT IS OFTEN MISSED. This sign is on the right side of the road – make a left at this sign:

9. The Ranch is about 35 minutes away (or exactly 20 more miles) from this sign. 10. You are getting close when you pass the “Hillside Ranch” on your left. The Anvil Ranch is about 10 minutes past the Hillside Ranch. 11. When you see a long, wooden horse fence… and then a white barn behind it, turn LEFT directly across the street from that white fence and white barn. At the dark colored driveway gate enter the code: 8282 12. Continue up this road until you come to a small, tan booth that looks like an “outhouse” - Make a sharp LEFT turn and continue “up” the driveway. (It’s about another mile to the ranch houses) 13. When you start driving on a downgrade you will soon see a white house on your left – the “Main House”. Park opposite that house in the “Visitor Parking” parking lot.
