Students will design a simple roller coaster (hot wheels) to test whether the total energy of the system is conserved AND contrast the affects of external forces exerted(OPEN/CLOSED system analysis)

Notes: (FEB) ConicalPendulum[Guided Inquiry] Determine the speed of a mass moving as a conical pendulum using two methods; kinematics of uniform circular motion and by summing forces. Compare the results obtained by both methods. The Revolutions of the Moons of Jupiter. [Guided Inquiry]Students will use the online CLEA simulation The Revolutions of the Moons of Jupiter to record data for the radius of orbit and the period for each of the 4 Galilean Satellites. Students will graph the data and from it calculate the mass of Jupiter. (DATA MAY BE SHARED WITH CLASS… Interpretation/Write-up is done individually)
