Application for Saint Agnes School Craft Fair You are applying to sell handmade crafts at the Saint Agnes Valentine’s Day Craft Fair, to be held on Saturday, February 8, from 11AM – 6PM at the School Hall on 39 Medford Street, Arlington, Massachusetts. In case of a snow storm or any other emergency as dictated by school officials, the fair will take place the following day, which is Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the same time. The fee for renting a space at the fair, which does not include a table, is $40 plus a donated item for our school raffle. Tables brought into the hall may be 6 or 8ft. (the more common size) in length and need a covering, including a skirt. No boxes or other extraneous items of clutter must be in sight during the fair hours, and all rubbish accumulated at your table needs to be eliminated during cleanup when the fair has ended. In addition, because this is a school fundraiser and raffles to support this school will be held, no raffles may be held at your booth. Any extra pieces of equipment, packing supplies, etc. can be hidden under your skirted table. Unloading/Loading Vehicles and Fair Setup Rules Two set-up times are offered in order to create a less stressful setup experience for all vendors. On Friday, February 7, 2014 between 4 and 6PM, vendors are invited to set up all or part of their booths, with the understanding that although the school will be locked securely for the evening, the school is not responsible for any damage or loss to items left overnight. The next setup time will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 (day of fair) between the hours of 9AM to 11AM sharp. All booths must be set up before the doors to the event open, and no breakdown of booths will be allowed until 6PM sharp, when doors close.
Plans are being finalized for Arlington Catholic High School students to assist vendors with both unloading and loading of vehicles, and you will be informed if/when this agreement is reached. There is a school parking lot behind the school (adjacent to the school hall) in which you can pull your car up to the hall entrance to unload (where a small outer stairway leads downward into the hall from the schoolyard). You may then wish to park on the outer core of the schoolyard (against the fence) in order to provide prime parking for our patrons. As the event nears, you will be assigned a number to make it easier to locate your spot at the hall, as well as for those helping you to bring items to where your booth will be set up. It is important to remember that this is a school event and all merchandise, signs or any visible materials should reflect this “general audience” atmosphere (no items that are explicit in sexual nature or violent in any form will be allowed, as well as any items that make undue noise or cause undue cleanup). In addition, no tobacco or other controlled substances are allowed on premises, nor should the likeness of such be part of displays or actual products offered by vendors. The promoter will remove any item in contention of this rule, and the vendor who violates this policy will be asked to leave immediately. FYI: Saint Agnes School is celebrating its 125th anniversary, and to this end, all customers attending the fair will be charged an entrance fee of $1.25. In addition, SASFA (our school family association) will sell refreshments and run raffles throughout the day.
