We are pleased to note that you passed the Wyoming Real Estate Salesperson examination. Prior to the issuance of your license, it will be necessary, within 90 days, for you to furnish this office with the original license fee ($300) along with the required documents indicated on the front page of the application. With exception of the fingerprint cards, these documents can be downloaded from http://realestate.state.wy.us. You must also submit proof of the following education: Salesman Course I (30 hours) and Salesman Course II (24 hours). Effective January 1, 2008, licensees are required to have errors and omissions insurance coverage in order to hold an active real estate license. Following a competitive bid process, Williams Underwriting Group was awarded the contract to provide errors and omissions insurance to Wyoming licensees. You can apply for errors and omissions insurance coverage with Williams Underwriting Group at www.wugieo.com or call (800) 222-4035. Information and the enrollment form are located on the Commission website at realestate.state.wy.us. This does not prohibit you from obtaining errors and omissions insurance from other providers as long as coverage meets Wyoming’s minimum requirements. Effective July 1, 2009, your real estate license cannot be issued until your fingerprint cards are processed by the Dept. of Criminal Investigation and a satisfactory report is received by our office. Due to this requirement, you can find the instructions on our website and submit the cards prior to the application process. Complete the fingerprint card packet and include $39 in certified funds or money order and submit to the Commission office for processing. This may reduce or eliminate the delay in issuing you a real estate salesman license. Once your real estate salesman license is issued, your license will be mailed to your responsible broker. You CANNOT engage in the real estate business as a salesperson until your license has been issued. If you are requesting an inactive license upon issuance, you will not receive a license. It is important that you, as an individual salesperson, conduct your affairs in such a way as to be a credit to the profession as a whole. It is our sincere hope that you will continue to grow by being better informed and professional by taking advantage of every educational opportunity that is available to you. The real estate profession that you are entering is one of importance and dignity and carries a responsibility comparable to that of other learned professions.
