Article Summary: Apples new system software was recently released and it is called IOS 4.0.2.This new softer is virtually the same as its earlier and much anticipated counterpart the IOS 4.The only difference that apple has included is a tighter security system that apple sais protects iPod and iphone users from malicious viruses. Some believe that this new version of IOS4 just came out to patch up the holes that hackers from the dev team were able to use to develop software to jailbreak these I devices. The first one to find and exploit these holes was a man known by his hacker alias Comex. After the hackers found the way to jailbreak the apple products they stabilized the method and created Iphone jailbreak site called Jailbreakme.com.This website provided a quick and easy way to help people jailbreak their devices. This sight became very popular because of its easy interface and the fact that it allowed people to do this process right on the iphone or iPods’ safari program. Along with jailbreakme.com the dev team also released a new version of ultra snow to help people use their iphones Rolando Montes 8/26/2010 Period 4
with different carries other than AT&T. The dev team has recently advised people to not update their devices to the new operating system if they want to keep their jailbreak and unlock. Although if you did update there are already other hackers other than the dev team worked on finding a way to bypass the new baseband.
Specific Details of Primary Importance: The primary purpose of this article was to inform people that the new IOS 4.0.2 is the same as the old IOS4 and that people who already have a jailbroken device should not update if they want to keep it.

Jailbreaking: a process that allows iPod, iPhone and iPod Touch users to run third-party unsigned code on their devices by unlocking the operating system and allowing the user root access. IOS4: Apple's mobile operating system. Developed originally for the iPhone, it has since been shipped on the iPod Touch and iPod as well. Apple does not permit the OS to run on third-party hardware.
