AUDITION NOTICE Broadway heavy hitters Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and The Beast, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Little Shop Of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once On This Island) breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale of A Christmas Carol. Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated "Bah! Humbug!" Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he's forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, & Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful "Happy Christmas" before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him. – MTI Shows Performances Run: Thursday, 24 Nov – Sunday, 18 Dec, 2016 Thurs thru Sat @ 8PM Sun @ 2PM 16 performances What about rehearsals?

What are the audition requirements?    

 

A completed audition form (filled out and submitted online during registration at dancynproductions.com). You must bring a theatre resume with you to your audition. If available, please bring a headshot along with your resume (if you don’t have a headshot, don’t worry). You will need to prepare three things: two (2) songs – one uptempo, and one dramatic – and one (1) monologue of your choice (comedic or dramatic is fine!). Due to time constraints and depending on how many people are at the audition, you may not get through all of your prepared audition material, so do not worry if you are cut off early. You will be given a re-direct to your monologue from the director. Please bring an iPod/iPhone/MP3/Walkman with your backing track/accompaniment on it for your singing portion of the audition (anything with an aux input). You will be taken through a range test for vocals, to see where your voice fits. There will be a group dance audition with all those auditioning that night.

Other things I should know?          

If you don’t have a headshot, we will take a headshot when you arrive for your audition. In the theatre, ten minutes early is on time – so please arrive accordingly for your audition. The Sunday audition begins at 1pm, and the others begin at 7pm. Auditions (like rehearsals) are closed. No family member, friend, or visitor is allowed in the audition room. Everyone auditions in front of everyone and with everyone (don’t be nervous…this is a great time to make new friends and have a chat with somebody). Callbacks may be held, if necessary. If you get a callback, it doesn’t mean you will be cast in the show and vice-versa. Rehearsals begin on August 21st, 2016. All cast must be available for all performances and rehearsals in the final two weeks before opening. If you are cast in the show, there are no membership dues, but your email is added to our newsletter base. You MUST register for an audition. If you need to cancel your audition, please do so 48 hours prior to your audition. All cast members are required to sign a contract, if cast in the show.
