While appreciatingthe Railway Board for its decision for revision of honorarium for Ayurvedic/HomeopathicDoctors in Railways, the Federationobservesthat the increasegranted is very much inadequate. The Ayurvedic/Homeopathic Doctors have been treating the Railway patients with devotion. These Doctors are unfortunately not entitled for DearnessAllowance or any other monetary benefits as they are not part of regular staff. While the Governrnent employees' salarieshave beenrevised,applyrng2.57 multiplying factor with effect from January1,2016, the case for revising honorarium to Homeopathic/AyurvedicDoctors has however been dealt in a very unfair manner. These Doctors are highly qualified and committed to serve the patients, therefore they deserve to be motivated by granting higher amount of honorarium with retrospectiveeffect. NFIR, therefore, requeststhe Railway Board to kindly review for upward revision of honorarium to Homeopathic/AyurvedicDoctors to the reasonablelevel (i.e. not less than Rs. 45000/- per month).
