The Monol campus is already six years old in its current location at Tacay Road since it transferred from another location in 2008. And to assure every student, Monol has always kept a well-maintained, clean, and dependable home to ensure a worry-free and productive learning experience for everyone.

To guarantee everybody’s safety and security inside and outside the campus, Monol has systematically organized its services and trained its personnel for any unprecedented situations.
PREPARED AND EQUIPPED
Monol has emergency and disaster preparedness guidelines and equipment in case of fire, earthquake, or other natural calamities. FIRE-SAFE BUILDING Monol has complied with the necessary requirements for it to be acknowledged by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) as a fire-safe building.
All over the 14-storey campus, there are:

Apart from equipment, staff and personnel are also prepared by going through month-long, rigorous trainings with the BFP for fire safety, first-aid as well as search and rescue.

GENERATOR ALWAYS ON STANDBY The Philippines is known to have a rainy season that usually lasts for three to four months. During the strongest typhoons, affected regions would normally experience power outages that last for days, or worse up to weeks. At Monol, power outages is not a problem because the building and its operations are supported by Lister Petter, a Diesel-powered generator with wide range and scope. In case of any power out, the generator is always on standby to back up school operations!

up to 27 hours straight with all the day-to-day services
UP AND RUNNING. DID YOU KNOW THAT...? Monol’s energy consumption is up to 20 KW daily for its services and office operations. During a power out, the Lister Petter generator can support up to seven times the power consumption of the academy. Monol usually makes use of 130 liters of Diesel out of the 350 liters that a Lister Petter generator can contain during an 8-hour power out. In case of unexpected power interruptions, there are 84 emergency lights installed all over the campus that back up the generator as it takes 10 seconds to rev up.
CARING AND NURTURING
All Monol services practice safe and secure measures to guarantee a healthy environment to all its students. Meals are meticulously and carefully prepared, drinking water is purified, and a 24-hour infirmary is provided. CLEAN AND SAFE DRINKING WATER Monol purifies its own drinking water, instead of purchasing it in the market. Since Monol has started this practice, cases of stomach problems from students have decreased very significantly. Monol’s drinking water goes through 5 stages of purification and takes 16 minutes. The filters for the process are changed every 15 to 30 days with regular cleaning and maintenance check-up. Everyday, the academy produces 50-60 bottles, which amounts to around 300 gallons of water and always provide it freshly purified. As a rule to comply with health standards, Monol’s drinking water is tested and approved by the Department of Science and Technology.

CAREFULLY PREPARED FOOD Apart from water, meals are also meticulously and carefully prepared at Monol. Proper attire and hygiene for preparation and serving are observed and every kitchen staff has approved health certificates for handling food. The kitchen is always open to students and employees. DID YOU KNOW THAT...? Monol washes meat, fruits, and vegetables using purified water. Plates, bowls, and utensils are washed using filtered water and are sterilized.
Monol’s kitchen staff are required to get health certificates before getting hired. They renew these certificates every six months as required by the City Health Office. That said, all students are assured that their food are held by trusted hands!
24/7 CLINIC Monol always provides assistance to students who need medical attention with its infirmary and diligent nurses.
For severe cases, the nurse on-duty is capable of accompanying the student to the hospital and is able to assist in scheduling check-ups with medical or dental doctors as well.
The Monol clinic is open 24/7 to ensure that all medical concerns are attended to.

VIGILANT AND ALERT
Monol always guarantee that its students are well-protected and are living in a secure environment. Apart from installing CCTV cameras all over the campus, security officers are also distributed to shifts for 24-hour protection of students. Further, the academy is situated in a peaceful residential area with a police outpost nearby. 24/7 SECURITY Monol security officers are distributed to three shifts everyday. They are hired and trained by the academy instead of choosing through manpower or security agencies.
Security officers are required to get a license from the Philippine National Police - Civil Security Group - Securities, Agencies, and Guards Supervision DIvision.
The license of each security officer is valid for three years. Without this license, no personnel can take on the role of securing and protecting the campus. Apart from acquiring a license, all security officers of Monol have undergone additional trainings for handling guns and weapons as well as for fire safety, elevator safety and power outages. Further, they are also equipped with bulletproof vests, shotguns, and first aid kits.
The campus has 50 CCTV cameras installed at dormitory floors, office areas, and more importantly at the security officers’ stations.
100 hundred meters away from the Monol campus is the Pinsao Proper Barangay hall and police outpost. As part of the community’s crime prevention measure, all stores follow a curfew at 21:00 everyday. A “Quiet time” is also imposed to all residents at 22:00.

Monitoring, check-up, and maintenance are regularly done to avoid disconnection and to guarantee healthy connected links and routing traffic, thus, making way to stable highspeed internet performance all over the campus.
One of the main CISCO access points established in the academy is situated at Monol’s basketball court. The other open and wide-range CISCO access point is stationed at the Dining Hall of the academy. These access points are open for public use, wherein not only students benefit but also Monol employees. This can support up to 100 simultaneous connections.

The PEPLINK load balancer can distribute traffic and gives its users control over MULTIPLE WEB INTERNET CONNECTIONS, making it possible for Monol to expand its connections. Further, Monol makes use of PEPLINK 580 and 700 to achieve a router throughput of 400-800 MBPS and support up to 1000 USERS. Access points created at dormitory floors total to 48. These are installed above dormitory doors. One access point is designed to support the needs of occupants of two dormitory rooms. With the loadbalancing of PEPLINK, bandwidth are managed and equally distributed.
