WHEREAS, there is currently no location on campus where newspapers, magazines, and other publications are aggregated for accessibility by the student body, and are generally tossed on the floor when no other option is available; AND WHEREAS, the Pitzer College community will benefit from access to a variety of student periodicals and community publications, including The Student Life newspaper, the Claremont Courier, and others. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Pitzer College Student Senate allocate $250.00 from the Contingency Fund, earmarked for capital projects, in order to purchase three newsstands; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, these newsstands shall be installed in the following locations: (1) the Gold Student Health & Wellness Center lobby, (2) the McConnell Center lobby, and (3) the Mead Hall lobby; AND BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the Executive Board of the Pitzer College Student Senate should be tasked with purchasing the newsstands and installing them in the designated locations. _____________________________ Josue Pasillas, President
