b. Number of PG scholars guided (as chairperson only) :3 7. Research : a. Externally funded projects (Completed and on-going) Integrated Nutrient Management in maize based sequential cropping system Training on Eco friendly technology for pulses production funded by NABARD Feasibility survey for expanding production of agricultural products in the dry areas of India with roll planter drip fertigation funded by Japan international Collaborative Agency Capacity building for Sustainable sugarcane Initiative for selected cooperative sugar mills of Tamil Nadu funded by NABARD b. Technologies developed (Important only ) 

Irrigating 0.6 IW / CPE ratio with groundnut + sesame cropping system recorded the higher pod yield with higher water use efficiency

Intercropping with marigold in two rows in between cotton rows and incorporating it in situ on 30 DAS contributed ultimately more kapas and lint yield securing higher yield advantage in both summer and winter crops and also reducing the pest incidence.

Application of 30 kg ha-1 sulphur and 2 kg ha-1 boron recorded higher soybean yield.

Foliar spray of 100 ppm salicylic acid at peak flowering and pod formation stage.

Irrigating soybean at vegetative, flowering and pod maturity stage was found critical

Accommodating 4.5 lakh plant ha_1 was optimum with a spacing of 20 x 5 cm in soybean

Application of 5 tones FYM along with recommended doses of fertilizer (20:80:40:30 NPKSkg ha_1) recorded higher soybean yield and net returns.
