“BIO-HOLOGRAMS” PHASE COHERENCE OF LIFE Otto van Nieuwenhuijze, Independent Research Scientist, Amsterdam, the Netherlands

ABSTRACT BioHolograms are proposed here as a basis for modelling the processes of Life and Health, in terms of the ([4D]) dynamics of Phase Arrays. The approach is based in a systematic integration of the models for Electricity, Magnetism, Holography and Biological (living) organisms (each relating Parts to a Whole). (Systems Theory is used for this, not only because it looks at Objects as Processes of Energy Co-ordination, but also because it, in itself, in its structure suggests more about the way we think, and how our bodies work.) This approach can be extended beyond the ordinary scope of contemporary scientific research, to see, and understand, how the models we make reflect the way we function. It helps overcome the limitations of present scientific models (which don't (always) work; especially not for living organisms, thus not for (health and disease of) ourselves). By their relative comparison, it becomes more evident that each model introduces its own bias (and thence its Limitations (O#o, 1982)). But also, how they complement and supplement each other, making it possible to see the connections and relationships between (these four) models. It gives insight in the way our knowledge of Electricity, Magnetism, Holograms and Organisms are logical extensions of each other; in ways which 'systems theory' can comprehend, understand, elucidate and apply. Especially toward the understanding of Health itself. These ideas have specific practical relevance for i.a. health care; different forms of healing can be seen to be related to each other, by understanding how they relate the Part to the Whole. They can thereby complement and supplement each other, to create powers of Potentials which none can achieve alone. The general principle involved can be generalised: Relating models to Life. (Again this can show how models can be integrated, and thereby extend beyond the scope of what each can 'understand' alone. This has many implications for future (consciousness) Research and (life) Science.

INTRODUCTION We don’t seem to have any true understanding of the way our body functions; which simplicities create and maintain its complexities. How Cells compose whole Bodies. It suggests that, maybe, our most basic models are wrong; by being incomplete; by ignoring the dynamics of Life. Science is (as yet) in many ways ignorant of this; and the models of Medicine are of no help as they take ‘no’ interest in how the body unfolds, its logic and dynamic. It does not form part of the medical education. The models of Physics and Mathematics are not yet able to deal with large complex (living) dynamic systems; they are more geared to Particular analysis (point reference, particles). And do not have many instruments for determining the place of the part in the whole; something all our cells inherently seem to ‘know’. (Which, when understood, would help humans too to realise how we, as individuals, relate to humanity as a whole.) This paper raises the point of a need for a change in perspective and for taking interest in this integrative approach, not in terms of physics of space, but information of Phase. It links up four basic ideas: • the [1D] principles of interaction as seen in electricity, • the [2D] principles of coherence as seen in magnetism, • the [3D] the concepts of unity as shown in holograms, • the [4D] place of cells in our body, here as “BioHologram”. The last will be seen to follow naturally out of the other three. The term “BioHologram” to make that link clear. And to give insight by seeing how the [1D] model of Electrons, the [2D] model of bar magnets, and the [3D] model of hologram images, relate, to lead up to a [4D] understanding on the ways cells compose a body as a whole.

The basic model for Electricity is that of a monopole, a [1D] point. (Particle.) The basic frame of reference (of relationships) is that of duality (i.e. anti-symmetric polarisation over an interface): The model of Protons and Electrons (united in/by Neutrons and Gluons). The basic concept is that of Closure, maintenance, always, of balance in the dual system. And the basic vision is that of reality as a (‘Dirac’) ‘Ocean of Electricity’, in which interactions can recurse to form stabilised (interference) forms: matter. (Different electromaterial properties (including, (semi)conductivity, piezo-electrics, electroluminescence and so on) are therein based on the way the electrostatics, electrodynamics, and electromagnetics interact.) The Classical ‘laws of Electricity’ are based on a simple relationship between attraction Attraction Repulsion and repulsion: “Like repels Like”; and “Opposites Attract”1. The following illustrates the Repulsion

2 principle. (Note that we are dealing here with separate Points [1D]; which are of same or opposite kind (dual domain).) The Laws of Electricity are incomplete to the extent that they do not explain what happens in the limit cases: The model has it that ‘Opposites Attract’: it means they would, following their attractions, at once out seek each other, and annihilate. All of our reality, made up of electrons and protons, would have disappeared... Evidently these opposites join up, as the model implies. (Preservation of Polarisation is thus an essential property of our reality.) Likewise, the model has it that ‘Likes Repel’: it would mean that they would ‘force each other of existence: to the outer limit of (our) reality’. (Our universe would be an ever expanding sphere of particles, racing away (a ‘flight’ response) from their ‘repulsive aLikes’.) In each case, reality can not be composed of both Likes and Opposites. (A model in which protons and electrons alternate, ad infinitum, likewise is unreal: though on average the charges would balance and cancel out, the result would be absolutely unstable; and the slightest fluctuation would triggers either of the ‘fight/flight’ responses described here above. Also, the unbounded condition of ‘ad infinitum’, is equally unreal.) The Classical model of ‘Electricity’ clearly must be incomplete. How can it be that opposite charges, which are attracted to each other, end up circling each other as electrons around an atomic nucleus? And how is it that mutually repelling ‘Likes’ can be found clustered together as Protons in the Atom’s nucleus? (It is intriguing that classical atomic Physics considered Electrons as ‘moving’, Protons ‘non-moving’. Chemistry likewise studies the properties of (electron) orbits, ignoring nuclear (proton) exchanges; which do play a fundamental role in living organisms, and thus our human body/being (Kervran, 1972; Hudson, 1995) Later modelling corrected the error; the introduction of (Quantum) Spin can be understood as a basis for atomic electron orbits, and proton clusters. Yet, because of its incompleteness, this ‘Classical2 model of electricity’ should have been ‘thrown away’. And completely replaced by the more realistic model. The model of Electricity, biased and incomplete as it may be, still offers insight in the way we can understand [1D] relationships (also in our body). Which is an important first step to come to grasp with (via [2D] and [3D]) the [4D] model of BioHolograms, to understand how we function in life.

In Magnetism the same rules apply as in Electricity, but in a different way. Like still repels Like, and attracts Unlike. But the units are no longer points but pairs: couples of polar opposites. The model of Magnetism itself does not answer the question (as posed under “Electricity”) how Attraction Repulsion opposites can combine in this way. It does not ‘know’ how magnets link up to form balanced dipoles units (nor why monopoles ‘do not exist’); it is simply postulated as a molecular material property; without making evident how it would emerge, out of Repulsion Attraction electron orbit arrangements. (Every Static magnet is composed of ‘Electromagnets’, Electrons and Protons in mutual relationship.) Evidently this model too is (greatly) at flaw: if magnets attract, why did the universe not Attraction Repulsion aggregate into one whole? Why did it not ‘get stuck’ as if some immense ‘automatic selffitting puzzle’? When magnets do connect up; what happens in the [3D] case? (It would mean that a large grid would be formed, or alternating north and south poles. Once formed, it would make it impossible to distinguish which orientation the magnets might have: all orientations would be equally true; and by having attracted each other, the magnetic polarity (a directional orientation) would have disappeared itself. (In a magnet-aggregate, magnetic lines and loops are formed: linear and circular concatenations. (The net result vector is different, depending on the overall field length.) Linear line-ups will by definition be open-ended; circular arrangements will have Closure. The difference between them being, presumably, that field lines in a closed circuit translate as Electricity; while those in an open system form ‘Magnetism’. The way the elements accommodate for different ‘wavelengths’ of the field, determines its magnetic properties and material behaviour.) Again, later, (dynamic) views corrected these shortcomings of the traditional models of magnetism (including descriptions of magnetism in terms of a vortex (Don Lorimer, in Winter, 1994).) Again, the classical model should have been discarded, and replaced by a model which is compatible with what we know now. In the model of Magnetism, we can recognise a [2D] extension of the concepts seen in [1D], Electricity. Which can now be studied likewise in [3D], Holograms. (And [4D], living organisms, later on.)

“Holograms” are defined (by the work of Dennis Gabor) as a virtual optical image of an object, as recorded on a Holographic plate. The plate is a ‘plane of intersection’ in a wave phase field, in which coherent and ‘incoherent’ light are combined. (One beam from a laser light source, and another, indirect (reflected off the object), are ‘recorded’ on the plate.) The interaction of the two wave fields can be interpreted to be a form of Moiré Interference patterns. The concept resembles “Stereo”: where the similarity of the differences in the signals ‘opens up’ a new spatial domain. (Making use of the way our system of hearing decodes spatiality by discerning differences in phase.) The model of Holography, too, is incomplete: it is based on a precise position (place and orientation) of the part in the whole. If one were to interchange two parts of a holographic plate, the projected recreated image would deteriorate. Invisible images too could exist: imagine inverting part of the -2-

3 hologram: the projected image too would be inverted in part; and suppressing, inverting or eliminating the seen image. (Resulting in ‘ghost images’: a projected image, which can not be seen because it annihilates by inverse projection. This idea is important for the understanding of disease.) Warp of a holographic plate can likewise be seen to be relevant; it relates to the work of d’Arcy-Thompson who showed that one could draw a ‘herring’ on a balloon; and turn it into a ‘box fish’ or ‘eel’ by the way the balloon was stretched: many animal species relate by topological warp. (Cf. René Thom, 1983.) Phase space warp can thus be used to understand more about the bodies in which we live; and living organisms in general. Few models we know give any understanding of coherence of phase; the model of the Hologram3 gets closest, also in integrating the part and the whole. (It is probably one of the simplest representations yet known of the relationships between Processes, existing in the Phase domain.)

A leap of thought is needed, to take us beyond the hologram’s image and include the notion of creation as seen in living organisms (where living cells dynamically relate (and create) the body as a whole). Here this is done by relating the [1D] model of Electricity, and Point Reference, to the [2D] model of Magnetism, and Connectedness, beyond the [3D] model of Holograms, and Orientation, into the [4D] model of BioHolograms, and dynamic phase space arrays. (These models present the same concept from different perspectives; their integration is a logical consequence of this.) This approach offers a fundamental ([4D] mathematical) model for the relationship between our Cells and our Body; and the integral coherence they share; also with the environment. Also, how (loss of) Phase Array can be understood as the basis of (disease and) Health (O#o, 1998c.), giving a basis for a science of Life. Living organisms and Cells posses quite different properties than contemporary science can describe (Mae-Wan Ho, 1993). In order to be able to account for Life and Death, we must understand the underlying concepts of field warp, and cybernetic reorganisation of their Phase Arrays. The Morphogenetic ‘Blueprint’, alluded to by Sheldrake (1981) and Burr (1991), can be understood in terms of the coherence of that phase space domain. Health and Disease are then simply expressions of the coherence stability of the corresponding variational set. From this the Topological unfoldment, of the cell ‘differentiation’(a fractal scheme) can be logically explained. Our body is based on cells (Electric model ‘points’; O#o, 1993). Related by flow processes (Magnetic model ‘inputs and outputs’; O#o, 1987). And integrated by their coherence (Hologram model metastructure; O#o, 1996d). All these concepts play a role (O#o, 1998b); and the models for Electricity [1D], Magnetism [2D] and Holograms [3D] can all be applied. It is the simultaneity of their interplay, which offers the insight into the 4D structure which they, together, form. Involving all the dynamics of integration (of continuation, transformation, transmutation, creation). To see how organisms transcend objects these creative dynamics, the expression of change from within, need to be explicitly described. (Best, in terms or phase arrays.) DYNAMIC PHASE RELATIONSHIPS About the interplay and dynamics of the human body cells, little is yet known. (The descriptions of medicine are very limited in that respect; they approach the human body from a mechanical perspective, in a classical sense. The classical model, created to understand dead matter, has little relevance for living human beings: Organisms are composed of, not by, matter. The dynamics of matter are involved; yet they do not explain it at all.) We need a model in [4D] to understand the way the [3D] dynamics are linked. (Kaku, 1994.) The foregoing has opened the way for this. The organism’s atoms and molecules are ‘definitely’ made up of electrons and protons: the ‘laws of Electricity’ apply. The protons and electrons interact, dynamically; spinning around each other, bonded by their shared dances: the ‘laws of Magnetism’ apply. The dance itself is more than ‘electrics’ and ‘magnetism’ together: in organisms it all connect up to a whole by their coherence of phase: the ‘laws of Holography’ apply. Yet the body is much more than a ‘static hologram’, and the [4D] aspect is to be considered in itself. For this the understanding of our body is a guide; in the form of the dynamic coherence of the relating, living, cells. (O#o, 1998b) It is the coherence between the living cells by which the [4D] dynamics are defined (O#o, 1987). With respect to the models of Electricity, Magnetism and Holograms, the dynamics of creation which play a role too4. With the possibility of the emergence of Change: disease and Death, or Healing and Health. All together this defines life. (How this takes place will be described in future work, as these proceedings do not allow more room for it here. Let us therefor limit ourselves here now to some basic questions to be resolved for the model in [4D].) From the considerations of the models in [1D], [2D], and [3D], it may have become clear that each is a logical extension of the other; as the [4D] model is with respect to them. The question is: how is it different? Or, more important: how is it the same? In the human body the principles of Electricity, Magnetism and Holography all interact and work simultaneously. But how do they work together? (This is rarely studied, if ever). Synergy is (evidently) very much involved, but how? We need to understand that to be able to explain how the ‘separate’ cells, together, create our body as a whole. And give it its (meta)physical form. FOOD CHAIN The metaphysical being of our body plays a more important role: the information of the dynamisms involved, and how they link up and interconnect. In our body, all cells always interconnect and interrelate. Always they communicate with each other: by what they ingest, excrete and (don’t) do. With extreme efficiency: only a small fragment of the body material is excreted at any time (mainly colon bacteria and water). The corresponding information management must be as sophisticated. Most cells recycle their food: 'one cells poison is another cell’s food': the food chain of nature around us goes on in us. And the principles are much the same.

4 About the connections of the Food Chain within us, little is known. The models of analyses of physiology of the human body (of i.a. pharmaceutical companies) are very incomplete. The assumption of a ‘lock-and-key’ ‘mechanism’, and interactions without effect on their surroundings, are erroneous. (They are a consequence of traditional analytical thinking: “in vitro chemical interactions should not affect the laboratory”. In vivo, in the body, the processes are, however, quite different...) About the Food chain around us equally little is known. Animals feed on plants and prey on each other. Plants feed on the debris of each other, themselves, and the soil. The Soil (a complex composite of micro organisms, feeding on the debris of each other, animals, plants, and the soil) is made up of i.a. water, minerals; matter: all the electrons, protons, their mutual magnetism, all bound together by gravity ... All these levels are decisive how food chain interactions interconnect, in the (dynamic fluctuations of) the gravitational field of the planets, the sun’s photons, the universal fields, and so on. (Which are all interconnected in similar ways as the electrons, magnets, holograms and organisms considered above.) In nature we see the same principles of interconnectivity, coherence and synergy; now at full blown scale. (O#o 1998a.) It is the underlying flow of Information which needs to be understood. FLOW MODELS The simplest metaphor for this information/food chain is: a river flow. (Feeding Nature: plants. and all life forms feeding on each other.) The Model of Irrigation is simple, yet complex: it involves only one element, water (essential to our life), but has many forms of Phase (Ice, water, vapour, Plasma); each is synergistic with any other, with more forms of manifestation than we know as yet. (It is a many-state liquid-crystal in our cells, which (like a semiconductor) can store, relay and process information.) There are many more materials in nature; their chemistry is by far more complex than the books can convey. (In nature chemical TransFormations (amongst orbits shell electrons) is complemented by (nuclear protons) TransMutations (Kervran, 1972). Also, all organisms interconnect, into one whole by feeding on each other.) The model of interactive information flows must account for this. The 'one dimensional' (one material) flow-model of irrigation is, conceptually, a good start. The circulation of water in nature, can be applied to any chemical element; and the phase transitions for the transformations/transmutations between them. The information properties of the materials can later be interpreted for the transformations of consciousness in a general sense. Which is what BioHolograms can help do. Building up to wholism in a logical way. MATHEMATICAL TRANSFORMS The information-transformation can also be described in Mathematical terms. The principles of coherence (logic) of reasoning (metaphysics) and structured (physical) results are seen in the body too: the dynamic unfolding of the Zygote, the first fertilised cell, creates the body as a whole in a very ‘mathematical’ way. (Which, like the trail of rivers, lightning5, and trees (Edwards, 1993) seems to be a (Phase space) fractal form.) Phase modulation is the basis by which 1) the first cell multiplies-by-dividing (maintaining a fine line of balance with the outer world all time; across each membrane, of every cell) and 2) the body as a whole interacts with its environment (and itself). In (mutual resonant) autopoiesis. With a very high degree of efficiency. Each cell pumps its nutrients around (as a river flows, feeding the land), taking in food, excreting refuse which is food, even hormones, to other cells. (It is a system so fine tuned that it is possible to live for days without drinking; and for weeks without food. Some have even been recorded to live without food for months and even years on end. (Yogananda, 1993.)) SYSTEM COLLAPSE When the system looses its calibration, thus stability, it turns against itself. Literally: the Internal (Food Chain) Cycles undergo Reversals; they backfire. Cells suddenly have to eat their own excrement; which to them is poison. They die as a result of this misinformation (miss in formation); (in the less severe cases become sick; 'of themselves'). (Again: literally.) It is not a cell problem which causes disease, but a problem of organisation (“Reversal of Phase”.), co-ordination. (Rowlatt, 1989.) Loss of functional coherence of the whole causes disease. ‘Infections’, ‘cancers’, ‘dementias’, etcetera, are merely consequential to this. When the internal food chain is disturbed, the nutrient environment will change; (as in the bacteriological laboratory) that determines which microbes can grow, and where. ‘Eliminating’ the bacteria by antibiotics does not affect that internal environment-disbalance which facilitated their growth. (The Internal Food Chain; is always related to the External Food Chain, thus to the way we interface to our environment. By what we (don't) do; (don't) eat, (don't) experience, and so on.) Phase Reversal is the principle which operates 1) at the level of wave coherence of the carrier wave of the control process, and 2) at the level of phase matching of the input/outputs of the process information flow cycles; the modulated signal. (Acupuncture acts on the first (dis)Integrity, Ayur Veda the second.) Restoring the Phase relations is then the most simple way to health. It repairs the integrity of the nutrient flow by re-in-formation of the underlying phase transformations; referred to above. Diseases at the level of anatomy are only consequential: if the physiological flows are disturbed, material accumulation/exhaustion leads to hypertrophy or infection (toxin accumulation) resp. hypotrophy or burn-outs. Accounting for all changes I growth )Form is consequential to changes in information). Phase Reversal and any change in Phase Coherence will ‘ricochet’ depending on how the carrier and modulation waves are out of phase; affecting the body as a whole; and every of its parts. (Anatomic therapy, surgery, this only treats the manifesting symptoms involved; never the underlying cause.) HEALING IN PHASE SPACE ‘Diseases’ of Anatomy, thus follow from the disturbance of Physiology, which consequential to a loss of control of system control (by neurones, hormones), based on loss of integration of the part in the whole (psyche in the environment, reflecting on cells in the body). In terms of Information Organisation: structural warp is due to instabilities in the phase control cycles -4-

5 (Meridians) due to deregulation of the nodes of phase singularities (Chackras), which maintained the balance and integration of the phase field (aura/hologram) with/in the environment. Anatomy can thus be corrected by recalibrating the Physiology; which can be done from the level of process phase. Oriental Medicine uses the Meridians and Chackras (just as the mathematics of process engineering would 'expect') to restore the co-ordination between ‘the part and the whole’. Healing (making whole) the relationship between the person and the environment (by resolving those Reversals). By resolving the dysbalances of being too much/little involved in what goes on around us; and (thus) within us. This is thus a fundamental model of disease; based on an even more simple model of health: a system of interconnected dynamic processes. Disease requires an off-set (in the internal balance) to set off a Reversal in the information/coordination. This is very similar to (or the same) as the Reversals in a Hologram, the Reversals in a Magnetic polarisation, or any Reversal in Electric polarity. How can we integrate them all into a (simple!) whole? By extending our understanding from physics (matter) to metaphysics (information), and see how, in us, structure (matter) and function (information) are linked. As in the concept of Phase: where phases of Matter and phases of Waves can be seen to be linked; in changes in degrees of freedom (similar to the transitions from one level of model to the next in shifting perspective from [1D] to [2D] to [3D] to [4D]6 in relating electricity to magnetism to holograms to bio-systems, in terms of shifts in of coherence of Phase. It is the shift of perspective7 which accounts for the chance in the perceived material/properties (Cf. O#o, 1996e). LIFE SCIENCE By the logical relations (between these models) the properties of the [4D] model can be inferred: dynamic coherence of Phase. (This is typical for living creatures, and information processing.) It makes it possible to interpret all the insights of the ‘Classical’ mechanical models of science in terms of phase relations and phase transitions. Making them relevant for the understanding of the principles of life. 'Life' has been 'brought into the equation' of science by interpreting their description as dynamic information/coherence of phase. (In contemporary science, dynamic organisation of phase (superstrings), evoke coherence phase gradients (“Energy”), reverberating as phase waves (“Time”), producing phase resonance (“Space”). These concepts of coherence are seen also in living Cells: 'classical' 'electrical' Particles, Interacting 'relativistically' 'magnetically', Transforming (changing phase) ‘holographically’ ‘probabilistically’ by changing their relationship to the ‘field’ as a whole’. As the Four Fundamental Forces of physics describe the same relationship from different perspectives, likewise a cell is simultaneous a unique object, a replaceable link in a process, a catalytic unit, and part of a integral whole; all at the same time. Classical science could not model life (because of limitations in the concept of analysis) but it is a simple expression in terms of coherence of Phase; in which both state (matter) and change (information) can be described. And the potentials for synergy, and the creation of newness, follow from the model itself. This gives the concept of BioHologram a power which the classical model can not have. By including the power of creation in the model itself. Science is still incapable of dealing with newness (the impredictable, thus the Unknown) because it does not regard the choices in the processes by which we realise what we see. It looks at the Visible (stable phases) and forgets (cq. ignores) that the Forms which it sees arose from the patterns and dynamics which were imperceptibly there (Transient phases). ('Occultism' means just that: 'beyond the form' are the processes by which those forms 'came to be'.) They underlie the reality we see (by our realisation) and can be described as process dynamics of transitions of phase. (As Alchemist described, already long ago; and, recently, science, by regarding Objects as Relativistic Probability Fields.) The concept of BioHolograms makes this understandable in a practical way. And is thereby applicable both for our (physical) body and mind (information). Relationships between phases gives rise to States of manifest form; Consciousness can be understood in the same way. Invisible for science, it controls what we are by all that we do; and can be seen in all we have made. Especially the models we use. The steps in our thinking reflect Transitions of Phase, and the principle is the same as for every cells of the bodies in which we live. With equivalent forces of coherence as seen in the cells ('like electrons') held together ('like magnetic') forming a whole ('hologram’), in dynamic coherence ('an organism') where all parts together are more than each alone. With the power of Life. It is our body itself, and the way it came to be, which serves as model for the reality we see. This can give science the clues for the patterns involved (in the seeing itself) (Edwards, 1993) by the phase relationships shape of/between our body and life. Reality, (physical bodies) and Realisation (Information Processes), are but consequential to this; as becomes evident when the patterns in Patterns of Phase are made clear. BIOHOLOGRAMS BioHolograms thus serve as a concept, a tool for the mind, to focus attention on the correspondence between information (co-ordination) and matter (coherence). A scaffolding, in a sense, for future work on the relationship between consciousness and communication, which too we find in our body, combined. By recognising the patterns of coherence between the models we use, we can see how they (dynamically) connect; and how we (by the phase changes which we execute within) activates the links between the two. The way our body works, in dynamic integrative sense, can be made explicit by looking at it as a kind of hologram, in a [4D] way, and example by the way the part and whole connect, in ranges of dynamics, known as health and disease.

CONCLUSIONS The models of Science are (still) incomplete; they do not include understanding of (ourselves), organisms: Life. Yet, they are made by us, and reflect us, as can be seen in the relationships between the (seemingly separate) disciplines of science. We compared the models of ([1D] local/closed points) ‘Electricity’ to ([2D] non-local/open lines) ‘Magnetism’ and ([3D] non-moving/phase-variant planes) ‘Holograms’, and extending that pattern into ([4D] moving/phase-variant volumes) Organisms. Which we called. “BioHolograms” to make clear that it is the dynamic Phase information organisation which connects not only these models, but links them also to us. The relationships between the Parts and the Whole, particles and matter, cells and a body, humans and society, disciplines and science. And all can be described in the same terms: coherence of phase. The principles of phase transitions determine how the first cell unfolds to form the whole body; and how the interconnected coherence of the whole body is maintained; even in a changing environment: by dynamic phase array. Health can be understood as the dynamic phase coherence, Disease as its warp, Death as its loss. (Forms of healing can be categorised by the way they restore phase integrity). Integrity of the mandalas of dynamic phase then becomes synonymous with Life, and the concept BioHolograms has been introduced to make it possible to extend the notions of ‘classical’ science to Living organisms. By seeing how they are all united in the underlying dynamics of coherence of Phase. The term BioHolograms is chosen to express this and make it possible to integrate the science of inert systems with our knowledge of life.

This is the inverse of the law of Resonance, where Like attracts Like. The core concept of classical mechanics: “Action = - Reaction”. It means that “Action + Reaction = 0”: thus there is no effect. There can never be any change: It is a condition of an invariant universe; in which creation (life) is impossible. It is a philosophy of Death, not of creation. They do not apply to living beings. The equation, and the technologies based on it, are deadening; producing a dead technology, and (thereby) creating a dead planet; it even considers and treats us as dead. Electricity is a ‘local’ event: one point (the ‘electron’) suffices to 'describe' the phenomenon; which is directly tied up with the Particular properties of matter. Magnetism is only in part particular; and non-local: two points (particles) are needed to explicate the interaction-field Relationship which takes place between them. Holograms are phase arrays: three points of reference are required (one to identify the element, a second to gauge the recurrence of event ('sameness') and a third to identify their alignment (Orientation) in space.) For Bio-holons, living organisms, four points of reference are needed for dynamic phase coherence: identity, relationship, orientation and sequence (serial relationship) which supplements the information of Development phase. Together they give dynamic Coherence of Energy in Time in Space. (It is the sense of vitalism, which distinguished the [4D] systems from the other three ([1D], [2D], and [3D]). Integrating, simultaneously, Coherence (a property in space), Continuity (a property in time), Co-ordination (a property in energy) and Consciousness (a property in living organisms).)
