She has a post graduate degree in Public Health from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, following the Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Government College of Nursing, Thrissur, Kerala. She is also doing PhD on a part time basis from SCTIMST, Trivandrum. Her areas of interests are Women and child health and nutrition, Health policy, and Geriatric and Palliative care She has nearly two years of research experience in public Health including associations with reputed institutions; Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, CEHAT, Mumbai and Monash University, Malaysia. She has presented research papers in a Scientific symposium and National conference held at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Her work on “To improve the end-of-life care for elderly using Indic perspectives of ageing and dying” has been presented in Sandhi Exhibition held at Kolkata in August 2015. She has attended short term trainings/workshops on Scientific writing, Strategies to successful publishing in international journals, Analyzing health data using Rstatistical software, Ethics in health research and Palliative
