Using Blackboard Log in via BB.SpokaneSchools.org or your district’s website

Fill out your profile (or select “I’ll do it later”)

First, click on the course you wish to enter

Once you’re in the course, click “START HERE” in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen

Read through the information in “START HERE” and scroll down until you get to “Key 3: How to Videos.” Make sure to review all of these videos and rewatch if you have trouble submitting assignments, taking tests or checking your grades

Continue scrolling through “START HERE” until you reach “Now What?” This directs you to your next steps – to download Blackboard IM/Pronto (your instant messaging application – not all school computers will have access to this. That’s okay!)

Scroll back to the top of the page and click “ANNOUNCEMENTS” in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the 1st announcement. If you have enrolled in class late, there may be a lot of announcements. Start from the 1st announcement and work your way up

Begin reading your class announcements from the bottom of the page – this is where your teacher will post relevant course information, give you tips, and assigning weekly coursework

After reading through the first few announcements to find out what you should do, click on “COURSEWORK” in the left-hand menu

Begin in the “Welcome Unit” and submit your contact information assignment if applicable

Click back on “ANNOUNCEMENTS” and locate your next assignment. Make sure that you are viewing announcements from the bottom of the page (the 1st announcement) and working your way up to the most current announcement.
